Kind staff, good area, quick maintenance. The housekeeper (Angie?) was very friendly and helpful, assured me that my daughter would be well taken care of. Very close to Bower Ashton which was brilliant for my daughter. WiFi could be better as FaceTiming was difficult but I’d expect that’s due to how many are using it. Communal areas were always clean when I came to visit and the room was well maintained. My daughter really seemed to enjoy her time there, 5*s all round

Stayed here between 2022 and 2023, staff couldn’t have been lovelier, the housekeeper Angela was fantastic, going above and beyond to ensure everything was ok with the room and offering a friendly ear when I was feeling homesick. Sam on the desk was also fab and very welcoming. Check in was quick and easy and the maintenance team were very efficient. There are lots of amenities nearby including pubs and a couple of shopping centres. Nightlife in the area is also a hit, I quite like turtle bay in particular which is on the centre and there are a few clubs further into town. Rooms are an ok size and the furniture was in decent condition, I highly recommend Hotwells House and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the accommodation to a friend

Close to the city centre and has everything you need to live comfortably. However is very expensive (~£860/m)for what it is, thin walls and aging fixtures. I’d rather have shared a house with others this year.

Sam, Mitzie & Angela were all very kind and helpful when we needed to arrange accommodation for our son, a first year at Bristol Uni. They showed us the flat, answered all our questions and helped us complete the paperwork there and then. He even got his keys straight away and a goody bag! Great service. The accommodation (bronze) is well laid out with everything he needs; it’s a good size room with plenty of storage; the flats kitchen and social area is modern and well laid out; the building feels secure; it’s in a good neighbourhood; and the 15/20 minute walk to the main Bristol Uni faculty building is very pleasant and safe. Thank you so much to Sam, Mitzie & Angela for all your help.

Idk why this place has such positive reviews. It's an absolute hell hole. Destroyed my friends mental health living there. Urgent repairs like a fallen in celling take over a month, the manager Sam is horrible, genuinely one of the most unkind and inconsiderate people I've ever met. The staff are clearly scared of her. There's also favoritism from the management/staff to residents where some people won't get fined for stuff but others will. The rooms all have maintenence problems. It's also a off shore registered company for tax reasons so it shows they're just a money hungry company who do not care about their residents at all.

One time was staying at my friends and went to the bathroom and had feared that when out I had been spiked with something as was seeing black patches everywhere. Later realised was actually just the bathroom infested with black mould to the point the ceiling was starting to peel. Good to know I was fine but hearing my friends experience seemed comparable to the Stanford prison experiment except you have to pay for it

My experience at hotwells house was very pleasant, the staff - sam, mitzie and angela were brilliant, i was always met with a smile and they were more than willing to go above and beyond to help me. Overall, i would highly recommend this accommodation and i would like to give a big thanks to the overly hospitable staff.

Stayed at Hotwells House for my final year and I have to say it was the best Student accommodation that I have stayed in at Bristol. All of the staff are really helpful & chatty. When our shower was blocked they came straight away & unblocked it & even gave us tips so it didn’t keep happening. The downside about staying here is the lockout charges which are £60 which I think are abit to high.

It is shocking and concerning to see so many 5 star reviews for this appalling accommodation. I can fully attest that the 1 star reviews (which I am shocked to see are few) are the most genuine and accurate to my daughter’s experience. The staff here are very obvious with their favouritism and once you get on their bad side, be prepared to be treated in the least professional way - makes you wonder what kinds of training they have to undergo before working! In fact, the rude behaviour exhibited by some staff have made my daughter fearful of their presence. The broader management are no better either. They are extremely slow in conducting investigations and offering any form of assistance or help to students. I almost feel bad that most students feel compelled to stay in this accommodation because of the price. However, be weary that you get what you pay for. The repair works almost never happen, rude two-faced members of staff, poor quality furnitures, and having to pay £60 when you are locked out as there is no 24/7 reception.
