I can highly recommend this garage! The service and care is next to none! Helpful, friendly and always up to date information on the progress of your car. Mot service offered while you wait which is brilliant when you need your car back in hurry!I would'nt go anywhere else!

Lovely team, however, mis informed/lead me on work needed for my car which ended up costing me a repair bill from them for the best part of £1,000 then another garage to fix the actual problem!Shame as always been really happy with the service received!

Excellent service. Had both MOT and service done, at a very reasonable price. They also picked up car from home address and delivered it back and gave it a good clean outside and inside.

My car's warning light came on and I managed to limp into Southwater Garage. The really helpful lady mechanic looked at it even though she wasn't even working. Told me not to drive it so saved me killing it completely. Really, really appreciated the help and would highly recommend this garage!!

11 days of being fobbed off and lied to for a 3 hour job to fix their previous attempt at a repair. The receptionist is the rudest person I've ever dealt with, completely incompetent. Finally got the car back and need to take it to a proper garage to finish the job off.There was no Confrontation from myself, I asked to see the receipt for the parts for assurance they were genuine, and was told I wasn't going to be spoken to. Confrontation came from Tanbury. I didn't have to be calmed down, my mother just wanted to leave this joke. The 'Manager' started complaining that she didn't like working on a Saturday and was only there as her brother owned the garage and was helping out - very un-proffessional infront of other customers. As for thinking you should put our vehicle first, 11 days is a ridiculous time to do the work, several times we were told that the vehicle was on the ramp when we were looking at it in the parking lot and we just wanted our vehicle back. We weren't going to give Tanbury another chance to rectify the work as they had already proved they were incapable of dealing with this vehicle. A look through the history of Tanburys work has revealed a number of issues and I conclude Tanbury rely on the ignorance of their customers for such positive reviews.

Tanbury are a brilliant garage and I cannot praise them highly enough. My Transit van had a knocking noise and was diagnosed by Hendy Ford as needing a new gear box and they quoted £3027. I needed a second opinion and took the van to Tanbury who diagnosed that it was not the gear box after all and for the cost of an hours labour rectified the fault. I will always use Tanbury in the future for my car and van. Many thanks for saving me a huge amount of money.

Tanbury are a thorough and professional garage who like to take a comprehensive approach. If you know what you're doing around a car you may find their style a little too thorough but you can't fault their attention to their client and determination to sort problems out and put the car right. They are fairly priced rather than cheap but the service is good. Recommended.
