The Neighbourhood Vet

the vets are great but the company/practice itself is run terribly. the billing dept is useless and full of vile people (chasing you for payments you've already made, making mistakes about money you owe, calling debt collectors on you), the company policies are very unethical and they try to price gouge you at every opportunity. their written prescription charges are exceptionally high for vets so if you're not rich and you've got an animal with a long term condition then, despite the excellent vets at the practice, the nighmare of dealing with the company itself may drive you insane.

Great vet brilliant care and treatment of my pet. The vet was open and transparent regarding my pets health treatment and costs and was very approachable friendly and professional.They're been superb at putting my pet and me as her owner at ease and gave me confidence Lilly was in safe hands. They entirely removed any idea that they might in any way be treating for treating sake they only did what was needed and they did it well.I was highly impressed

This is an efficient and I have found friendly veterinary practice. Good pet club scheme, worth joining.

As my first experience and my first cat I felt totally at ease walking in . They're very informative and patient allowing me to ask as many questions.very friendly and welcoming

The reception staff and the vets are always gentle and patient with my dog who has become very anxious about having her vaccinations . They take as much time as is needed are very flexible with their approach and just want her to feel secure and have lots of fuss and attention before encouraging her into the consulting room. Their kindness and time was much appreciated .

Six years of outstanding service from everyone at the neighbourhood vet! The reception staff are very accommodating and amazing at answering small concerns or questions over email. All of the vets and nurses are very knowledgable, caring and reassuring. Their pet plan is also great value.

My mother took her senior cat in to The Neighbourhood Vet (East Dulwich) after he was sick the previous day. They did a quick physical check said he was ok, but sent her home with medicine and charged her almost 5 times the price of the actual cost of the medicine on top of the visit fee.We found the medicine being sold online in many different places. Upon further research, the medicine comes with some nasty side effects which were not explained to my mother. I decided not to give our cat any, and ended up binning it. He's been fine ever since.I have already found a replacement independent vet for my mother to go to from now on. At The Neighbourhood Vet, it seems profits are more important than the health of our pets.

I have been using the Neighbourhood Vet for around 5 years and can’t recommend them highly enough. They are kind and caring, easy to get and book appointments, really knowledgeable and transparent about fees and costs. My dog has arthritis and I have been impressed with the spectrum of care and options explored to find the right treatment for her. Their Pet Club is great and helps you spread the cost of regular pet-related costs such as flea treatment and worming.
