Wonderful service. Neil found us something on the day, for a family of five. They gave the kids nets and a spotter sheet. We took two canoes down the river for a beautifully meditative couple of hours, looking at the wildlife. Would highly recommend.

Houghton Boats managed by Neil is a great experience. We have been multiple times and always been greeted by Neil who cracks up with his jokes and stories. Neil is an amazing host!! Hoghton boats is a great experience where hours can be spent going around the canal ways and having picnics! Highly recommend this for everyone who loves the outdoors! Until next time Neil!!

My family rented two canoes secured together and had a brilliant experience with this company. The man in charge was amazingly helpful and so friendly. He is full of humour and made our day. We will defiantly be returning and would recommend.

Another fantastic morning on the river in one of Neil’s punts. We saw wildlife, enjoyed the peace and beauty of the area. This is in a league of its own- don’t go to Cambridge, come to Houghton. Neil is the friendliest of owners and helps you feel confident whether you are a novice or more experienced boater.

We had a great experience at Houghton. They were very friendly and helpful. Boats were good quality, location has to be one of the best and prices were as low as we've seen. Highly recommended.(And the fishing net and wildlife checklist for the kids was a brilliant idea)

Picked a lovely quiet, sunny Friday morning for canoeing. Neil was friendly and knowledgeable - provided us with a laminated map and wildlife tick sheet! Life jackets and dry bag are provided.

The people running this company are amazing, so easy to speak to on the phone and in person. Full of good humour, great with the kids and very knowledgeable. We had a lovely experience kayaking around as a family it was just great fun! We saw so much wildlife. Highly recommend

Would highly recommend Houghton Boat hire. Neil, the owner, was welcoming and really friendly, and couldn't have been more helpful. My friends and I had a really fun afternoon attempting to row a punt - a perfect boat to choose for a group of novices! The river and scenery was beautiful, with lots of wildlife to be seen along the way. Even our dog loved being 'captain of the ship!'
