Queen Victoria Monument

Great: a nice red brick and sandstone monument originally built to celebrate Queen Victoria’s Jubilee, recently updated to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II. Handsome proportions, well maintained, recently restored, in a prominent position - and there's even a bench underneath from which to contemplate the view downhill to the south.
