Signing up to train with Dave has likely been one of the better choices I have made in life. I am a lazy person at heart (and often also in body), so just the fact that his positive attitude and programme managed to bring me to the gym twice a week is already an achievement.I think my requirements to sign up for a personal trainer were slightly different to most people’s as my goal was not to get fitter or lose weight in general, but to specifically help me improve me at my sport which I also do reluctantly (remember, lazy person). Dave has absolutely nailed this, as all exercises that he picks target the muscles groups I need for my sport and that are underdeveloped in me. His programmes are fun yet challenging and even the ones that I hated, I did because I had faith that they would achieve the right thing.While nutrition or actual gains are not essential for me, Dave always has some useful insight into these topics whenever they arise, and I greatly benefit from these little pearls of wisdom. Overall, Dave is very knowledgeable and can always answer my questions around “What does this exercise do?” or “Should I be feeling this here?” and there are many of those as I really want to know what I am doing and why I am doing it, so if you are into that kind of training, Dave is your man.Dave is also great at keeping you motivated, which again is no small feat with me, and can really push you beyond what you think you can do. He certainly can tell real failure from you just not wanting to do the exercise anymore which is awesome for your progress but less awesome as you curse your way through the last set.Due to a series of past injuries, I am a quite cautious exerciser and often worried that I will hurt myself in doing an exercise. Through training with Dave, I have grown more comfortable with my own abilities. He instilled trust in me that whatever we were doing was possible and healthy for me. He has always made sure to adapt my programmes to whatever ailment befell me and has been very supportive whenever things had cranked out of place.In short, if you are looking for a knowledgeable and skilled trainer, who can keep you going even when you think you can’t, and you appreciate a good chat in your rests, Dave is the perfect choice for you.

I've been training with Dave for about 2 years and he's been so helpful before and during the lockdown. I lost 2 stone, and although I've put some weight back over this past year he's getting me back on track and gives me the drive to get fit and strong again.

I’ve been overweight and getting heavier for years. Every attempt I made at controlling my diet or getting back into exercise failed, with things just getting worse.Starting PT with Dave has been the best decision I’ve made. During the initial consultation we talked about what my goals were and what works and doesn’t work for me. Now I’m 14 kg down with another ~17 to go - I’m nearly at the half way mark and feeling great.Dave’s given me the tools I need to build healthy eating habits and learn to love what I’m doing in the gym, and he’s persistent with me when I inevitably slip up. We’ve been doing boxing training in my PT sessions and I’m really enjoying learning a new skill while getting fitter (footwork is a lot harder than it looks!). Each new programme Dave thinks up is something different and leaves me feeling like I’ve made real progress. Would highly recommend giving him a go!

Dave is a great bloke and a highly effective trainer. He is excellent at taking a holistic view of fitness training, including looking at diet, stress. I very much get the feeling that each of his clients has a highly individual programme. He’s also good company. Very encouraging without being too pushy. I’d recommend giving him a try.

Dave is a fantastic trainer, I have been a client of his for 5 months now and I am seeing stomach muscles I’ve never seen before on me. I’m over the moon with the results I’m seeing after only a short time working with him.After Covid and the lockdowns, like most people I had gained weight and was unhappy with my body. I had also lost my confidence in even stepping foot into a gym. It only took a few sessions with Dave for me to feel at ease walking into a gym again, Dave is very friendly, knowledgeable and always reliable.Every month I receive new training plans that we go through together, this is great as it keeps the whole experience of going to a gym fresh, you aren’t doing the same exercises all the time - it also ensures you’re working on new muscle groups regularly. I have really noticed a difference with this approach. This, along with the easy to follow recipes he sends me makes the whole process of getting fit and healthy so much easier. He’s always on hand if ever you’re not sure of something - the communication is superb.If you’re on the fence, then what I would say is go have a consultation, there’s absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain. I’m confident you won’t regret it.

Having been weight training for 3 months, I had put on some muscle but started to plateau and wanted to take my training goals to the next level. After an initial consultation, Dave put me on a bespoke nutrition plan and Stage 1 4 week hypertrophy workout routine. After following the routine to the letter I began seeing results quickly! I am now on a Stage 3 intense workout program and continue to put on muscle mass slowly but surely.Dave takes a holistic approach with a strong focus not just on the workouts but on the activity that goes on outside the gym, particularly in the kitchen. Behind the scenes he is constantly monitoring my progress and nutrition (via a smartphone workout app) and making educated adjustments for optimum results. Every adjustment he makes comes from detailed scientific knowledge. Dave genuinely cares about seeing results in his clients. He is very approachable and always brings a sense of fun to our sessions. He comes highly recommended!

Dave’s a terrific personal trainer, and has transformed my experience of the gym. His approach is holistic, looking closely at nutrition and exercise, and he’s dedicated to your goals, designing workouts to keep you interested and challenged as well as fit. I approached him because injury had left me uncertain of my limitations, but the transformation over three months in my strength and stamina, and confidence, has been remarkable. Gym is something I look forward to now, and that’s really down to Dave.

Dave is my first ever PT, initially I was quite nervous about having one but from meeting Dave I’m so glad I’m doing it! He’s really down to earth, approachable and supportive so it’s easy to get along with him. He will push you appropriately within your limits and have you training in ways you probably wouldn’t have thought on your own. I can honestly say I’m eating better, training better and even though I’m still quite new with our sessions, I’m seeing more results than I did on my own.
