Alex did a really great job of fitting a dado rail and panelling through my hall, stairs and landing. He also built and fitted a cupboard to hide my electric meter. His work is all done to a very high standard and the quality is exceptional.I would definitely recommend him.

I have to say that over the years of having work done to various houses, Alex has been the most professional and and most talented carpenter I’ve had the pleasure of working with. His attention to detail, work ethic and genuine passion for his craft shines though in the finished article which in this case were some beautiful floating shelves and alcove cabinets. Will certainly be using Alex again!!

Alex created a new fuse box, fireplace surround & installed a window above living room door. All beautifully done. He didn’t go overtime and is friendly and professional. He came back to do more work a few weeks later (hanging door- all great.) Highly recommend.

Alex is a lovely man, extremely professional and an expert at what he does. Communication was excellent throughout the whole process. He designed us bespoke cabinets to fit with our complex space that look like they were always meant to be there. He worked with us to keep the job within our budget and gave us lots of great tips and advice. He also worked flexibly around our schedules. We are absolutely delighted with the finished product. I couldn't reccomend him highly enough.

Alex did a brilliant job creating bespoke inbuilt shelves and cupboards in our alcoves. His attention to detail is second to none and he worked tirelessly to make sure that all of our requirements were met.On top of this, he was genuinely a nice person to have in our house for a week. He was also great with our children showing them some woodwork.Would 100% recommend using Hykel Carpentry.

Alex has done a fantastic job installing fire doors at my rental property. He had a tough job on his hands as he had to rebuild the door frames so that the doors would fit well.. It all looks much better than I had imagined. He did the job well and maintained the aesthetic of the surrounding framework. Nothing was too much trouble. He was well prepared and it looks really professional. He communicated throughout and gave updates as he went. I would definitely use him again and would highly recommend him. he is a hard working, conscientious person.

Alex made us a bookcase and a shoe rack with a sea, both to fit particular spaces. Both are extremely well made and Alex has used some recycled mahogany to edge them. They not only fit the purpose we had in mind but they are pieces of furniture that enhance our home and give us great pleasure. Alex is a highly skilled and gifted craftsman and he is also a pleasure to work with. He has made several pieces of bespoke furniture for us and each one enhances the space it was made for as well as fitting its purpose. We highly recommend Alex.”
