On behalf of SFS Flooring, I would like thank City Hire for getting us out of a mess on a Saturday (yesterday). Despite being closed, one of their staff who we had the number for got a driver in especially for us and delivered a scissor lift just over 90 minutes after we had contacted them. WON'T RENT TO YOU IF YOU'RE NOT BRITISH. I have settled status (been in the UK for almost 10 years now) with a German passport. I was told today on the phone by Luke (CX Coordinator) that they can not confirm my identity unless I have a British passport.... meaning they can only rent to you if you're British.... This is ABSURD and DISCRIMINATORY. This is discrimination based on nationality and it's an offence under the Equality Act 2010!
