I got in touch with DJ because I was looking to have corn removal. I have had this procudure done before at a different podiatrist. Perhaps this is a generational thing, but it was my expectation that when I went in for my appointment, only the issue I had raised would be dealt with. To be clear: I only wanted the corn removal.When I arrived, DJ quickly set about carving my skin off the sole of my foot. As a side note, I deal with anxiety, and have trouble with being able to say when something is not ok, and can't always say when I want something to stop. I didn't know how to say, please stop this, this is not what I came for.During the corn removal (scalpel not in separate packaging?!) she noticed that my skin had started bleeding. She told me that this often happens with this type of procedure. But I knew this wasn't supposed to happen. It's dead skin we're cutting; it shouldn't bleed. When I got home and inspected her work/my foot, I noticed that she had in fact nicked my actual skin, the place next to the corn, and had lied to me about how it came to be that I was bleeding.When it was over, I put my socks and shoes back on, and realised something felt wrong. I couldn't walk as I normally did. After driving to work, I took my shoes off to realise that a patch of blood had stained both the soles of my socks and, furthermore, this blood had soaked through into the insole of my shoe. My favourite shoes! I was left with gaps of skin from the bottom of my feet. DJ never asked permission to treat me/my skin in this way, or gave any warning that this was going to happen. Remember, I came for a corn removal, not callus treatment.For the next few days I had to walk on the edges of my feet, or my heels because of the open gaps on the balls of my feet. I couldn't risk any dirt getting in from the floor and becoming an infection. I was very upset and felt that I had been mutilated.It would be helpful for it to be made clear at the outset what is going to occur during the appointment.

Had a ingrowing big toenail quite painful for about a month checked it out on YouTube, thought wow this is going to be painful but to my surprise and relief took about 2 minutes and hardly felt a thing and the relief was instant. Thank you so much. Will definitely use again if this occurs again

First time having my feet done so didn't know what to expect. A thorough check was done and ingrown toenail problem sorted. Excellent advice for this diabetic newbie. Excellent service.

Donna was amazing. This was my first visit to her practise. My doctor gave me a date of 28/07 to attend my ingrowing toenail. However I was struggling with pain. Donna saw me as an emergency. Willing to stay open to see me. She attended and operated on my nail within minutes. WHAT RELIEF!! If you're waiting for the NHS, may I suggest, if you can afford £26, go and see Donna for immediate support and relief from pain. I can now go on holiday without limping everywhere. The best £26 I've spent.

The ground floor is now the newly opened Salut Coffee Shop. One Life Therapy clinic now operates exclusively upstairs. Donna and Peter have recently converted the ground floor to a really cosy coffee shop. This is not a 'greasy spoon cafe' it is definitely a high end Coffee Shop offering hot and cold drinks along with food items such as toast, sandwiches and plenty of cakes. Vegan and Gluten Free options are available.
