Really enjoyed the day. The forager was very relaxed, informative, hugely knowledgeable, entertaining and communicative. It was great to do a forage near my home patch, so I know what's about locally and now have no excuses. The cookery element was very inclusive and team oriented, and great fun, and the risotto and crumble were great. Can't recommend highly enough.

I was on a foraging and cookery course with Totally Wild UK in Wirral Country Park, Merseyside last week. I was staggered with the amount of edibles that were out there in abundance for us to pick and turn simply into a fantastic lunch - and at this time of year too! Our guide, Fez was extremely knowledgeable and provided all the assurance we needed to enjoy the best from Yarrow, Ribwort, Sea Beet, Gorse flower and many more whilst urging caution with all types of mushrooms! A great day out!

Great day, Richard was very knowledgeable and the information was very interesting. As it rained ALL day it would have been more enjoyable if a little dryer but I'm still giving 5 stars as it lived up to full expectation. I'd really like to do another at a different time of year, November is great for mushrooms but would be nice to do over different seasons to see what else is out there.The group was good too and everyone mucked in (quite literally in the rain!). The location is great. If you like the outdoors then this is a good day out to do.

The day was brilliant, our guide Al was very knowledgeable and engaging. Although it was raining, the majority of time is spent in the forest which does provide a bit of extra cover from the elements.Even with the rain it was a great day, definitely recommend.I would also recommend dressing appropriately, waterproof kit and some water.

Myself and my husband went for a foraging course at Grizedale Forest with Kris. From the beginning right to the end you could see the passion and enthusiasm from Kris, he was super knowledgeable and was always making sure the group of 15 people were gathered round whilst he answered any questions.You could tell he loved what he did which made the course even more enjoyable.I would 100% recommend the course as you learn so much whether you’re a novice or have some foraging experience, it enabled us to gain confidence and see weeds in a completely different light! It was also a massive added bonus that we cooked up what we found and had a beautiful 3 course meal, giving us meal ideas as well as those Kris shared with us throughout the course.Such a fantastic day.

Can't exclaim how much my partner and I enjoyed the foraging and cook experience in Norfolk. Our guide, Jane is very knowledgeable. We never thought it is possible to find edible loot so close to urban life. Appreciate that we try to be safe by avoiding all kinds of mushrooms. The group is huge with 15 people but we don't see any issue with it. If anything, we had fun and were blessed with a cute dog on the trip. We were lucky with the weather, we set up a fire with the help of a teammate, identified and classified the loots. Finally, we even had an email of a summary of the ingredients we picked and the benefits and lots of photos for memories. Totally recommend but check the weather first! Will be back for more!

My son and I had a wonderful day foraging in the Goyt valley with the very knowledgeable Fez. The weather was perfect ( so lucky!) So many different mushrooms out there and some ended up in a lovely risotto with nettles/sorrel/yarrow. Finished off our feast with an apple and bilberry deconstructed crumble ( much better than the traditional oven baked one!) Will definitely be recommending Totally Wild to all my friendsA brilliant and informative day was had by all with the very enthusiastic Fez. Thank you

What an excellent day foraging with Kris at Whinlatter! My husband and I had never been foraging before. It was a surprise Christmas present and we thoroughly enjoyed the day! Kris is so knowledgeable and enthusiastic, he was more than happy to answer any questions we had. We felt we learned a lot and are now keen to learn more about foraging. We enjoyed helping prepare the meal with the foraged products and was surprised at how tasty it was. Would definitely recommend it, and now thinking of going on it again at a different time of year.

What a fabulous day, Hazel was amazing. As a nature lover, this foraging day has led me to another level of appreciation of all that grows around us. Hazel has a wealth of knowledge which she shared along with encouragement to seek our own understanding. Cooking up our finds as a group was really fun and tasty. Fabulous day will certainly be doing another one. Thank you :)

Booked this as a Christmas present for my partner and we went to an autumn event, foraging for mushrooms in Kent. Our guide, Al, was fantastic - knowledgeable, informative and he made the whole experience interesting. We learned a great deal throughout the day and the meal cooked on a camping stove was delicious. Would highly recommend this trip, particularly in this location and with Al. Thanks for a great day!
