Fantastic customer experience - even came out to my house later on to help shift some heavy bags of stones I had ordered that needed a mini crane to move them to a more convenient spot for me. It's rare to find helpful folks like these guys, and customer service like this goes a long way in my book!

product is good but service is poor. dis jointed and if anything falls down between the cracks you can see its chaotic at times. their forklift broke and they didn't make a delivery. They made no attempt to call us. when we called in it was like we were inconveniencing them. A week later and still no follow up. 2 conversations about our delivery with promised call backs and nothing. they gave us no paperwork with an invoice number so no wonder they cant locate the order easily. A kid with an o level in management could turn this place around!

Very poor company. I ordered 2 bulk bags of stone. Each bag was about half full of dust.I called to complain. They said they would send out another bad and check to make sure it’s of good quality. This bag came and was even worse!!Extremely bad quality products! I have since had a refund, but even this was the wrong amount so I am having to chase for the remaining balance. Useless.

Would not recommend this company. They sell their bark and compost by the ‘bulk bag’ and do not have weights and measurements on how much this is. Therefore they provide their own bulk bags which are heavily overpriced for what you get. They cannot tell you the weight of volume of bark provided in a ‘bulk bag’ and therefore are charging what you think is a reasonable price when in fact it is not. When speaking to their sales advisors on the phone they can’t even tell you how much to expect.

Excellent service! We ordered 12 tons gravel, 4 tons topsoil and many bags of compost just before the lock-down. We were nervous that they wouldn't be delivered, but we got excellent help by phone and the deliveries were made on time despite limited staff and the uncertainties of the early lock-down. Thanks to Rivar we've been able to proceed with our garden projects. Much appreciated!

Darren at the Tadley branch could not have been more helpful after I made a mistake with the color of the slabs I had ordered, he replaced them with a new order and was extremely understanding, I fully recommend Rivar as a company.

All use these guys for a good variety of gravels, building sand, sharp sand, ballast and a fantastic compost! Very reasonable prices per ton especially if you collect as I do (they also deliver cheaply.) They also carry a massive range of stone, slate and ceramic flooring tiles, sets and much more!

I have recently carried out a significant home garden landscaping project due to the current situation of being in lockdown. The team at Rivar Thatcham have gone above and beyond and helped with every part of the project with supplying rapid deliveries and willingness to be creative with a good deal.Over the course of 2/3weeks they delivered 39 tonnes of material from soil to gravel etc, 110sqm turf, 139 slabs.I would also like to call out Craig the branch manager especially for all the support with deliveries and quick turnarounds. I couldn’t recommend Rivar and the team enough. Even when times are challenging and social distancing is in place they still delivered and were incredibly professional throughout. Great experience!!
