Alison Paul Photography

Absolutely amazing photography couple! Couldn't recommend them enough! Did some family photos for us at Leicester arboritum and can honestly say I can't stop looking at them and now looking for reasons just to have photos done with them :) thank you again xxxx <3

Booked Paul to photograph our wedding in August. He was lovely, we met him at a wedding fair and he was brilliant with our 2 daughters. As we were going to have lots of children at the wedding was happy to book him. We had the initial meeting with Paul and submitted forms for all the photos we wanted taken on the day.The problems have really started after the wedding. Paul attended the wedding and pre-meetings. It was Alison who was editing photos and giving us the online gallery details after the event and there seems to be a disconnect between the 2 of them and communications. What Paul had told us (with regards to number of images we would get, etc) was not what happened in reality. There are a number of photos we requested to be taken (that were definitely taken!) that are not in the gallery at all. The one that has upset me the most is one of us with our wedding singer. I had booked the singer for a surprise for my husband on our wedding day. I sent an e-mail to Paul/Alison asking for the photos with us and the singer to be taken (which they were), but when I asked Alison for the missing photos she said “I should not be complaining as I have a lovely gallery”. I am happy with most of photos in my album, but some photos requested were very important to me and you pay for a service/ put your trust in the photographers and I feel very let down. Also, when asking for colour versions of some of the black and white images I was told “that I obviously don’t value their expertise” when I had originally told Paul in our initial meeting that I am not a massive fan of black and white photos and it didn’t seem to be an issue with him.There have also been a number of other issues with the after wedding service and I would definitely not recommend them. I feel that it does not matter that I was the client and that the photos are all you have left of your special day. It feels like a number of photos have been edited and then they have moved on to the next album, not checking any of the forms to find out what I had actually asked for.I only have 394 photos in total in my gallery for a full day (and some are duplicated colour and black and white copies). Paul arrived before 8.30am and left the wedding after 8pm (not sure of exact time). Just as a guide if you are comparing number of photos you actually get afterwards (still waiting to see if I get any of our other photos that we requested but were not put in gallery) then there seem to be better options available for photographers. I feel that I am being dictated to as to what I should like. The photographer is one of the most expensive parts of the day and photos and the memories they hold mean an awful lot to me. Based on the main fact that we didn’t get the photos we requested (and were taken) in gallery I will not be using again.

From start to finish amazing! Managed it so you knew exactly what to expect on the day. What i like is they took my preferences into consideration and made sure i got the photos i wanted. Really thought through different weather situations and how we would manage on the day. I could not ask for more reliable and personable photographers they really added the extra detail by making sure we got the photos we wanted. Alison spent the morning with the females and Pauls with the males - my best photo was my grandad seeing me for the first time and that was all the work of Alison! They also went to the effort of giving our photos in both black and white and colour as requested! I could go on and on about my list of requests but the point is they got them all!! Highly recommended and every other couple has asked for their details :)

Paul and Alison have been amazing throughout. I booked through Paul at a wedding show and then met the both of them for our engagement shoot, which we incorporated our children and made it a family shoot. Paul is amazing with the children and is very good at making them laugh. This means he captures the most wonderful photos of them as they feel completely at ease with him. Alison is as wonderful and couldn't ask for a better couple.For our wedding, unfortunately Alison was quite poorly. Paul found a replacement in the form of a gentleman called Luke. He was as amazing as Alison and Paul, and captured our day just as wonderfully as Alison would have.Each and every wedding guest commented on the warmth, professional nature and attention to detail that both of our photographers displayed and the pictures themselves prove this and more. I could not have picked better photographers. Thank you both of you xx
