Putsborough Beach Cafe
Walked down from mortehoe along the beach from Woolacombe very windy arrived at cafe great food and hit drinks. Seating inside or out gets very busy but loads of seating. Great food and plenty of selection. Staff very friendly great stop after a very long walk back home. Toilets nearby also.

Putsborough Beach Cafe
Handy little cafe with a surprisingly large selection of food and drinks available including a shop with plenty of holiday/beach stuff available. Good stop off point on a walk. Paid parking available above. Lovely views over the sea.

It’s a lovely spot for a bit to eat or drink. However when busy the queue takes a long time. So long that the second time I visited I took my own drinks and food. It took about twenty mins to get to the point of placing an order. Shame as service and food is great.

Brilliant cafe and shop, with plenty too choose from. Lovely food and coffee. Right on the beach.

Ordered Devonshire crab roll which was £9.50 and was left feeling robbed. Very little crab meat and all I could see of it was some brown body meat. And £3 for chips in a small polystyrene cup. RIPOFF. Other food wasn't to bad though. Just steer clear of the crab sandwich. Oh and a 10min wait turned into forgotten order which took 45mins. Packed lunch next time.

A great cafe, in a prime location overlooking Putsborough beach. Having been stung for £7 to park, it was nice to sit, relax and enjoy the view whilst having 'elevenses'.

Visited this area out of season in Feb '23. This cafe was a hidden gem. Very few hot food cafes open in the area so this place was a welcome delight. Staff helpful, relaxed and cosy atmosphere. Good hot food and great shop to look around. As well as beach items they were also selling warm hats, gloves and cosy socks - accomodating for the cold weather. It was decorated nicely and had indoor and outdoor seating. Food served in takeaway dishes so you could eat in or take away. Dishes were eco-friendly. Clean toilets nearby too. Wish I had found this place earlier!

Well shiver me timbers, me hearties! If you're thinking of heading to Putsborough beach cafe, you might want to batten down the hatches and prepare for a bit of a basic experience. The food is served in a container, and you'll be expected to do a bit of swabbing the deck and clear your own tables. And don't be caught off guard like some of the other landlubbers - the food is given at a collection point that isn't clearly explained, and they don't shout out your name loud enough to hear over the sound of the seagulls. We braved a rainy day to check out this place for lunch, and to be honest, it wasn't quite the treasure trove we were hoping for. But what really got me steaming mad is that you have to pay the car park day rate just to go to the cafe - a whopping seven pieces of eight! That's enough to make Blackbeard himself walk the plank! All in all, Putsborough beach cafe is a bit of a bare-bones operation, with a few hidden costs that might make you want to keelhaul someone. But if you're looking for a quick bite and don't mind doing a bit of your own grunt work, it might be worth a visit. Just don't say I didn't warn you, or you might end up walking the plank yourself!
