InstaVolt Charging Station
Two rapid InstaVolt chargers conveniently in front of the Smyths Toys Superstores. Didn't need to charge (SoC at 74,5% when I arrived), but took the opportunity to top up during our visit to the store. Ended up with 98% SoC, added 17.7kWh in an hour and 11 minutes, avering 15.83kWh charging speed. That's how it should be for my Kia e-Niro 2020 with that SoC and battery temperature.

Had same annoying experience as at least one other reviewer: when one charger is in use, the other one immediately becomes unavailable.This happened to me on Sunday afternoon when I arrived a few minutes after someone had taken one charger. When I came back on the Monday morning, both chargers were free and reporting themselves as available - as soon as I started charging, the other charger reported itself to be unavailable (photo of screen attached).Very inconvenient!

Charged here from 30-60% but max charge rate was 27kw with two people on site. Bit disappointing as we pay a premium for the fast" charging. Hope this gets fixed. Car can charge at 130kw and outside temp was 22c and cloudy so I don't see what the issue was. Reported direct to instvolt. Maybe a discount rate could be offered in future for such a low charge."

1 hour 28 minutes for 120 miles not what i consider fast charging pulling 25kw??? Even on a 50 DC this is ridiculously slow, hardly fitting for the name. Not so insta you can do better

First time userI came across Instavolt by chance (whilst I was aiming for Podpoint in Bristol) I gave them a go on my way home.And although a bit more expensive, 23mins, 11.25kwh boosted me from 37% back up to 80% odd, so quite happyTook a mooch round smiths to pass the time

MG ZS EV Mk1. Down to 1 bar and 16 miles. Two free rapid chargers. Very easy to park and connect. Contactless. Sat in car in comfort reading a magazine till I got to 80% then off home to S Wales. Good experience.

Problem with the charger. 2 chargers but as soon as 1 charger is in use then the other 1 becomes unavailable. Had to use the 1 at Tesco 5 minutes away.

Shared 125kw/hrs says both available but 1 not working. The one that is working thinks the other is in use so only able to get half speed even at midnight.
