Dobbies Garden Centre Cadnam

Booked for afternoon tea which was very nice, the scones were lovely.Only downside it was the very hot the inside of the restaurant area where we were seated,asked if we could be moved as it was so hot but no further response to our request.Also for table service it would have been nice if we were asked if we would like more tea or coffee, once the afternoon tea was served that was all the table service we saw.we understand that the Aircon had broken down and maybe more thought should have gone into moving customers into the cooler area of the restaurant.

Just love this place. Staff are friendly and helpful. Great restaurant with yummy cakes. Middle of the range prices. Beautiful selection of plants, etc.

Used this garden centre several times.The cafe food and service is very good.Wide range of plants and associated tools and products.Seasonal product changes for all the year.December products now include gifts etc for Christmas.I like the Waitrose 'shop'Excellent garden centre

Great plants and gift ideas. Cakes were not very fresh at the tea garden, but we still enjoyed our afternoon shopping/coffee.

Good parking, they sell a very good selection of garden and presents for all seasons at a competitive price .

I use Waitrose several times per week for shopping as I am local, every worker in there is very polite and helpful. Today my experience was awful there’s seems to be a new lady working in Waitrose she has short blonde hair quite a big build with glasses. The most rude person I’ve come across in a very long time made me feel very uncomfortable I won’t go into detail but I probably won’t return to the store because it upset me that much. I will be using other stores in the area even if it means going that little bit further just to avoid coming across this lady again…Do not recommend

Popped in here today for lunch. Very disappointed. Asked for toasted bacon sandwich . Came out not toasted. Bacon hardly cooked and very fatty. Left most of it. On saying that loved the garden centre. Plants nice and fresh and reasonably priced.

To be honest, normally like visiting here especially for quirky gifts at Xmas but was very disappointed at how empty shelves were looked like a closing down clearance, the Xmas shop was almost non existent. Such a shame.

I was able to buy a plant here that I hadn't found in 3 other garden centres. Good prices.

Just joined with Dobbies plus club garden centre membership back in summer this year, so I went in to get my free two hot drinks for September, where I got a cappuccino for my family member and a mocha for myself. I usually visit more than more than 5 different garden centres a year in various locations and this branch has the worst mocha of all time including my numerous visits around the country to find the best of the top mocha cafe’s in UK! This dobbies only simply added two T spoons of choc powder and added hot water then added hot milk from a small machine then mixed in coffee powder to hand me over a ‘mocha’ made of mixing hot chocolate and Luke warm coffee! The staff food assistant literally said to me ‘your hot chocolate and a cappuccino is ready to take away!’ the taste was bland and I went back to check if it was mocha and they said it was but when I received the drink the lady said it is hot chocolate and a cappuccino! I do not understand how they cannot tell the difference between hot chocolate, mocha and coffee! the taste was just two t spoons of coco powder mixed into a bland coffee. you can clearly see the photo I took and it doesn’t even look like a hot chocolate that I’d get from a local cafe where I live! My toddler cousin can make a better hot chocolate for me! My home hot chocolate is much milkier than theirs. Overall extremely disappointed with the whole experience, although the garden centre staff were helpful and managed to answer all my queries without a single issue. I assume this garden centre just is trying to cut costs down but even so they charged me £12 extra two free coffees per month and a discount on hardy plants. Will have to see what their plants are like then I shall upload another review update on the overall garden centre. I was told the plants are in alphabetical order but once a staff had a look through a plant that I asked for she was shocked to see that it never was in alphabetical order herself!
