Great little bistro with a lovely atmosphere. It was very busy which probably accounted for the slowish service but the food was very good

The food here was absolutely incredible! Couldn’t fault any of it, struggled to even from the menu as there were so many tasty sounding options we couldn’t decide. Tempura prawns were delicious! Will deffo be back

Kelly and I were on a first date (Friday 28th July 2023), and were really glad that we chose here to chat and have something to eat.Kurt and Gen (the waitress!!!) were perfect hosts, who totally engage with their customers, and nothing is too much trouble for them. They are really wonderful hosts, and made us feel very welcome.We both had the Halloumi Flatbreads, and the food was of excellent quality, even though the portions were actually too much for us to finish (see attached photo).The ambience of the bar was really nice too, it has such a homely feel about it. We were made to feel extremely welcome.And, to cap it all, Kurt and Gen even stayed open later than usual, so that we didn't feel rushed.We will definitely be going back sooner rather than later.

I’ve been many times to 117 Bistro and I am never disappointed. The food is exceptional, the service is quick and professional and it has a great atmosphere.Every time I visit England, I make a special effort to come here.I cannot recommend this place more.

First time we couldn't get s seat they were so busy so attempt today. Glad we went back, really enjoyed it. good food and coffee, attentive and friendly staff. We will be going back soon.

We had a large booking of 15people for my 30th birthday celebrations. Kurt was extremely attentive and catered for all of our needs. We preordered and some of our party asked for extra things/things they did not want on their meal and this was all absolutely perfect when the food arrived. The food was beautiful and we had a great time. Thank you so much Kurt and your lovely staff for a great meal. We will definitely be back and recommend to others x
