Bird Hills Golf Centre

This is a great golf course with really friendly staff and locals. A beautiful 18 hole course with wide open fairways that suit a range of golfers. The course is not too hilly but electric golf buggies are available to rent alongside golf trolleys if you don't like carrying your bag.They also have a great driving range with tokens available at the bar (good excuse to have a drink to help loosen up)

The 4th star is for the staff. Great, professional yet friendly service that made us feel welcome. The course is in reasonable condition and ground staff were out improving drainage on the 16th, I think. The greens look to be recovering from some recent work but were fine overall. Some fantastic layout architecture made some of the holes more challenging; which was welcome even if it did cost me a ball on the 9th (my fault not theirs). Although i didn't sample them for a change, the bunkers were well kept and some have steep, ridged sides that gave them a unique look and feel... like St Andrews (ignore the sand, this photo is from today, 17 July 20 over the corona virus period). Loved playing this course and will be back soon.

I recently purchased two clubs from Bird Hill, the manager Jack looked after me and was extremely polite and helpful. Excellent service and will definitely be visiting again. Many Thanks

The course was in very good condition, not crowded. The staff were attentive and friendly. I booked as a visitor on the internet which was easy to do.

I had a fantastic time at the golf course! Managed my best score ever and loved the excellent conditions and pace of play. A truly enjoyable round, though I must admit I lost a ball on the last hole.

Pretty good 18 hole course.Usually in good condition in the summer, with some interesting holes. Good value for money.Often quite sodden in winter though.

Had great service from Alfie today, got home around 8:30pm (pitch black) and realised I had left a club on the course. Alfie went out looking for me and managed to find it. Big respect Alfie, thanks again!

My daughter and son-in-law had their wedding reception there. Karen went above and beyond when decorating the room, it looked amazing, in fact all of the staff were so helpful, and food was excellent. A BIG thank you

Overpriced and run down club. £38 weekend / £28 weekday is too much for an average quality park course. Greens in the winter are awful. Range balls are way over-priced for a run-down range with no tech and half-time beers were staggeringly expensive for a couple of cans. Only positive is some of the people that work there, but even then, not all!

5 Stars absolutely perfect.Karen and the team were extremely helpful and organised a fantastic wedding reception for us after a COVID delay of 1 year.The staff organised the entire venue and the room looked absolutely fabulous. It made our wedding day extra special and we cannot recommend the venue and team at bird hills enough.The room, service, food and organisation was top notch. Karen deserves a medal for organising it all in the way she did, a gold medal!Many thanks to the catering team and head chef for utterly stupendous food and desert.Bird hills honoured the original price even though costs had risen significantly.Overall we couldn't be happier with the reception we booked and cannot thank the team enough for making our wedding day the best day ever.Thanks again Heidi and Graham.
