LNER First Class Lounge
Despite the 06:30 opening time posted here and on the station website, lounge was closed when I arrived at 07:45, and hotel staff denied all knowledge of the posted opening time, claiming it would open in a quarter of an hour." It had still not opened when I left at 08:10 for my train. No refreshments offered

LNER no longer have a contract with the hotel, very disappointing as this was a great little space to relax between bad train connections.

Tried to access lounge at 3:45pm. Rudely told by hotel staff that the bar/ cafe was shut and there was no contract with LNER. Checked with train staff who claimed this wasn't the case. Other platform offering The Bike Barista" shuts at 2pm so no alternative available."

LNER First Class Lounge
Your first class ticket gets you a hot or cold drink and a cake or packet of crisps. Better quality than most lounges and served to you. The lounge is located in the Great Northern Hotel’s cafe area. There is a TV.

LNER First Class Lounge
Even though it’s advertised as having a first class lounge (one of the main reasons I paid for the ticket as we had a long wait between trains), we came to the station to find there wasn’t one at all, unhelpful staff didn’t seem to care, so we have to wait for over an hour in between our trains just on one of the benches
