Raymond Beer advised us that the process of selling two probate properties had began. We chased Raymond Beer as both our cash buyers were ready to complete on both properties and we needed an exchange date, they then advised us that they wouldn't open our files for at least 8 weeks. Therefore we uninstructed Raymond Beer and they charged us £150 for the pleasure. Aside from the incompetence and misinformation they also have one of the rudest and unprofessional secretaries we have ever come across. My wife instructed another conveyancer who completed the sale of both properties within 3 weeks of instruction!

This is the second time using Raymond Beer and John Reading as our conveyancing solicitor as we were so impressed with the handling of the previous sale of our house. We decided to use them again for the new property and to say our expectations of an amazing service has been truly surpassed is an understatement.We had given the team a pretty tight deadline of mid-September and all of the checks and outstanding issues were all completed by beginning of September! So I want to thank John and Fleur especially for all of their hard work and should you be looking for a conveyancing solicitor then John is second to none.

I phoned up to advise I'm looking for a conveyancer and to find out if a few basic questions could be answered which were mainly about their quote and to see if it included joint ownership/gifted deposit legal fees; I was very rudely shut down by the receptionist who answered to say they are under a lot of pressure at the moment and not taking on any new clients. A perfectly understandable point which could have been made much more respectfully and with more tact. Definitely wouldn't use in the future.
