What a fantastic independent and family owned company. The staff are a delight and really know how to help both Trade and Public. They have so many items that 9.5 times out of 10 they have the answer.Plough Home Craft is unique and full of surprises . Yesterday I arrived home to find a Jamed front door lock. I had no tools or DD40 so immediately thought of Plough. I went in and Darren asked how I.was and what I was doing. I explained and three minutes later Darren came back with his own tin of WD40, a tin of silicone spray and a bottle of Graphite to free up the lock. He then opened a draw and handed me two pairs of different plyers and said let me know how you get on. I managed to get back in which saved me calling a locksmith and paying at least £200 for them to drill out the security lock. I went to a local locksmith shop to see if they had a replacement lock barrel, they didn't but they did have a complete replacement lock for £107.00, I didn't buy.I went back to Plough with their rescue package and asked if they had the same complete lock.Happy days they did and it cost me £69.00 a saving of £38.00.They're on our doorstep and they are always so helpful and have some very competitive prices too.For those who know what a Espangolette bolt " is ( a six foot long bolt with a handle in the middle)

Used to work for these guys in the 1990's. I left school with very little qualifications. These guys took me on. I learnt more there than at school. Brian, the owner at the time would never give you a job that he wasn't prepared to or had done himself. Darren, his son ran the tile shop. Debbie, Brian's daughter also helped run both shops. Customer service had always been their focus and the same people always came back from miles around to buy their building materials here. . it's a shame to see the shops have decreased in size but it's great to see they are still top of their game. A genuinely nice family run business. I hope this success continues.

I highly recommend Plough Homecraft.I love specialist shops like this and this place is such a great example to others. There are lots of high quality products on offer. The people running the shop are extremely helpful. Whenever I visit them they are so helpful and patient. I always need help and advice when buying the products available and I always feel that I am supported.

Great service and friendly staff. Usually have what you need in stock. Not sure what the odd reviews below about “business model” are about.Hey, they may be a quid more than Amazon, but they are local, pay some tax and don’t syphon all their profits to Luxembourg or Ireland..If good service and honesty are outdated then I’m all for that.

Best local DIY store by far. The staff are friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and happy to spend time giving helpful advice on what you need to get the job done!

I bought a cartridge gun and realised we had the exact same one at home. I came back the same day, a couple of hours later, in same condition as I bought it, even including the plastic wrap around it and the receipt and asked nicely to the same woman (who clearly recognised me) for a refund and she simply said no. She didn’t even bother to inspect the gun. It is less than £5 but I would expect better service from a LOCAL SHOP.

Very grateful for the assistance on two occasions I've shopped here, this lovely business properly go above and beyond in their efforts to help the novice in a fix. Seen them in action, that's just their M.O.The business is a massive asset to the area.
