Coventry Station Car Park

The motorcycle parking area is a joke. It's just an open space full of skateboarders with no security. Nothing to chain your motorcycle to. I decided, although motorcycle parking is free, not to stay. Motorcycles left here will either get stolen or damaged. Unbelievable.

The arrangements for payment are confusing and the accompanying text unhelpful. Large group of passengers at 20.10 on 10.11.2023 left frustrated by the payment machines, having just arrived from Euston. Clearly not working properly. Eventually found someone who said drive up to barrier and pay that machine.? Eventually left by driving up to the barrier and the arm lifted. Escaped the nightmare. Never again. Particularly as in addition the lifts didn't work. Tough if you are disabled.

Others have covered the poor experience of parking a car here, but I thought I'd share the motorcycle experience. There is a dedicated bay for motorbikes, but it is an empty space used mostly by skateboarders. There is no ability to chain your bike to anything, and as a result my motorbike was stolen from the car park in broad daylight. There are no permanent staff in the car park and the CCTV is apparently not monitored or a deterrent to motorbike thieves.

Couldn’t believe how tight the turnings are. Scratched my car for the first time in my life. Terrible car park, avoid, will never use again. How do you spend all that money and make the car park worse, shocking.

Very modern well structured car park. Secure and safe. Very good location to the city centre.

This is worse designed car park I have ever used. What makes it worse is that it is brand new!Some good bits first - It's a car park and it allows you to park your car. Plenty of disabled spaces, some bays are quite spacious. It's clean and fresh but that down to how new it is. All this is great.What is Not so good is that there are EV charge points with very poor instructions for use but they are free to use. But the worst bit is the shockingly bad design. To start with, the entrance has 2 right angle turns that are really tight, which actually made me think I'm going the wrong way and then the ramps to go up or down are so tight with large protruding kerbs that could easily damage your car. Perhaps it is designed for small city cars, but anything bigger will struggle. How could this new build car park have got this so wrong!Avoid if you can. I won't be back.

As other have said, corners are tight. But the worst thing about this car park is the exit. Two lanes merge into one just after the barriers and then straight out to a busy roundabout. Good luck exiting this place on a rush hour - it'll take you 30 minutes minimum and possibly up to an hour.

Got wheel rash while driving out of the car park, this is one of the most badly designed car park ever. Please kindly lower the kerbs at entrance and exit! It’s an absolute nightmare to navigate with longer vehicles.
