Larkfield Daycare

Larkfield have looked after both my daughters over a period of eight years. Simply exceptional care and completely unique due to the way in which they mix inspiring indoor activities with stimulating outdoor trips. They understand the important things, such as how much children thrive in natural surroundings, with many nature walks and park trips. I wouldn't send my children anywhere else!

We started using Larkfield in January 2019. We have found Jenny and her team to be caring, committed and communicative. Our son has had a consistently good time at nursery and we look forward to the time when he can return (he is high risk, so is at home at present) and his sister can start. The atmosphere is as friendly and near to home-from-home as we had hoped, with every child valued for his or her unique character and abilities. We have loved seeing our son doing fun activities, going on trips (when possible), developing his skills in a structured but not pushy manner, eating a really varied diet (including catering for a range of dietary requirements) and making friends with staff and other children.The last few months have been very stressful for everyone with childcare requirements and responsibilities. Larkfield has consistently kept us informed about a quickly changing situation and we have continued to feel part of the Larkfield family even though we are not currently using the facilities.

Our daughter attended Larkfield for a few weeks whilst her own nursery was closed. Jenny, Sarah and all the staff were so welcoming and nurturing right from the start and I felt completely reassured that she was happy and comfortable. Their communication is second to none with multiple updates/photos each day. The little day trips were also fantastic and we loved hearing all about these from our daughter at home time. Fantastic!

Lovely, friendly, nursery. We've sent our little boy from age 1 and he absolutely loves it and adores the staff. It has a real family atmosphere and the staff are caring, thoughtful and good humored even during the horrors of potty training etc! They really take the time to bond with the little ones and get to know their personalities. We saw quite a few nurseries that felt a bit corporate and cold, but Larkfield was different. As it’s a smaller setting and Jenny the owner is so lovely, it feels like a much more personal set up. They’re flexible with things like schedule changes and the setting is warm and bright and always full of laughter and play. Although the children are split into year groups they often mix with different ages which we really liked. The trips out are great especially for the older children (although on hold at the moment due to lockdown.) The regular updates and photos through the nursery app are fantastic and the communication has been really good through Covid-19.

We honestly couldn't have sent our little one to a better Nursery. The Staff are so attentive to each child's individual needs. Our little one runs in so happy to see all her friend and the staff, Megan and Sarah especially. She says she loves them! They even send messages to see how she is if she's off sick. Jenny the owner is Amazing and so friendly. They are always at the end of the phone if you need advice or help with anything. We really are so so happy with Larkfield and would highly recommend them.

My boy absolutely loves it there, he's always so happy and the update throughout the day are amazing. Really do keep you involved. Couldn't be happier:)

I'm really impressed with all the staff at Larkfield. Jenny the owner keeps parents updated on policy changes daily, Sarah the manager is incredibly caring and good humoured and has been so helpful when I was worried about my son's progress. Kirsty and Megan are so warm and loving with my toddler and seem genuinely delighted when he makes progress. Larkfield is a small nursery which means it's very personal. What I like most is the updates and photos I get throughout the day about what my son is doing and how he is progressing. Oh and the food is excellent. V healthy and lots of it :))

Jenny and her team run a lovely nursery. My little boy has been going for 2 years and loves it, waving us off at the door everyday. He is always on exciting trips to the park/zoo/museums and I really admire how the nursery mix indoor and outdoor learning activities. The food always varies with healthy homemade meals. I couldn't recommend Larkfield Daycare Nursery enough to any parent.

We have been sending our children to Larkfield Daycare since September 2017. Whilst the setting changed and grew, so did our family. One thing has been consistent throughout which is the genuine care and attention all of our children have received. Our youngest two boys still attend and love their days in nursery. The nursery setting is fantastic yet the children are taken out on a variety of trips frequently. The communication is brilliant. I receive several pictures each day my children attend, which I love! As a Mum I couldn’t feel happier leaving our boys at Larkfield and they love the time they spend there.
