I purchased a beautiful Kazak. The customer service was exceptional, the owner was very knowledgeable about the rug I was after and patiently responded to all my queries. I’ll be going back for another Kazak!

One of my favourite things is finding a great independent business that takes pride in their offerings. The Rug Shop in Shirley is possibly one of the best I have ever found. We had been looking for a rug for our new home and after looking in a few of the chains, we couldn't find anything we liked. I then happened across The Rug Shop, and wow.Their space is beautifully laid out, the team are incredibly helpful and genuinely enjoy the service they provide, there was no hard sell and it almost felt like we were walking around a gallery.The great thing is is that the prices are still extremely competitive. You don't pay a premium to come here, I mean obviously there are some expensive ones, but they are rightful so! We actually spent less than we intended and budgeted for, and got a MUCH nicer rug than we could have hoped for.I wholeheartedly recommend this fantastic store, and have already told a few friends to go check it out.

A treasure trove of beautiful oriental hand knotted rugs. The customer service is second to none; the owner is an expert and will help you find your perfect rug.

My wife and I came on the recommendation of a family friend, and we were very satisfied.Matthew gave useful hints when choosing a rug, and found colours and designs that suited the colour scheme of our room.There was no pressure; simply useful advice.In the end, we managed to find a wool woven rug we were both happy with. Matthew did offer a month trial, with the promise of an exchange or refund if we did not like the rug, but are happy with our choice!

Have had very good experience with The Rug Shop over a number of years. Just collected Persian /Indian rug which was cleaned and repaired. Fantastic job and great price. Problem is once you are in the shop so much to look at and admire.

What a store. The owner had a collection of wonderful rugs: Persian, Indian, Egyptian ect, handmade or machined.It's worth a visit even if you don't end up buying, yet!With recent events the store was hygienic and owner provided hand gel for customers.
