Great location to visit

This is an excellent cleaning company, with really hard working cleaners. I like the fact that I’m charged for the whole job, not per hour. So I know whether it takes 3 hours, or 4, I’m always getting a great job done. I got Merry Maids firstly to do a one off spring clean, and I was so impressed I now have a fortnightly regular clean. There are always two cleaners arrive together, sometimes 3, and I love to go out and leave them to it, knowing I’ll return to a lovely clean and fresh smelling house. Lovely staff, and Debbie, the business owner is very easy to deal with, and always happy to help.I definitely recommend this company.

Disgraceful company! I was hired to work here by a woman called Debbie, who operates in and around Birtley and Durham area. Personal details about clients are not confidential, in fact some are mocked and slandered. Cleaning standards are below average and unhygienic, for example; the same sponge used to clean toilets will be used in the kitchen!The overall professionalism of this company is lacking respect for clients and employees. The company is understaffed and lacking resources. I was sacked via text and not paid because I was pregnant (stated clearly in the text message sent by Debbie) although I cleaned and did all tasks asked of me, with no support or care put into place, which they are legally obliged to do so. It is also illegal to discriminate pregnancy! When I asked to be paid for the work carried out I was initially ignored and later received a belittling text message, trying to humiliate me for being pregnant.Do NOT use this company or work for them!

Even one star is to much for them. We needed a moving out cleaning and I contacted the company. I spoke with a lady on the chat and she promised to put me through with somebody from the company who could help me solve my problem. Guess whether they called mel Silence.

Highly recommend. Fantastic service throughout, excellent, high standard of clean with no corner missed. Easy process with communication at every stage from receiving a quote, booking, the day of the clean and communication after the clean to ensure we was happy.Professional, Punctual and Friendly team.

I've been a happy customer since we moved to Durham 8 years ago. Merry Maids is extremely reliable. The cleaners are all lovely people, and (which is important to me) properly paid employees. I'm thrilled to have them back after the interruption of the lockdown regulations!

Great cleaning company , very high standards , once you have them you cant cope without them , always a excellent clean, house is immaculate and smells so good afterwards .

Made an appointment to have a quote. Person didn't arrive. I 'phoned them after 30 minutes but nobody even picked the 'phone up.
