I’ve been coming here to ride the bikes and walk my dogs for many years and over that time I’ve seen a lot of wildlife including foxes, deer, hares and buzzards. The cafe is also a good place to relax after a walk. The route round the reserve is also flat and tarmacked so is suitable for wheelchairs.

It was my first visit for an outdoor work event. It took a little finding as it is remote. The reserve has an interesting and painful history that's worth exploring.Such fabulous and totally absorbing surroundings, I must return to explore all the different habitats, views, and wildlife properly.I noted good parking areas as you enter the reserve, walkways, and cycle routes. There's a small centre with toilets and a café area for meals, snacks, and drinks near the car park. There's composting toilets on site, too. This site is accessible so get out and give it a go.

Fab place for bug spotting, biking and walking with or without little ones. We go once a week with our bikes and spot lots of different creatures. The hides are fab and filled with info too. Would definitely recommend

Just a short visit to look at the bikes on offer to hire. It wasn't busy - probably due to the time of year. Staff very friendly and helpful. Cafe offers good variety of food. Will be visiting again.
