called to get updates on a house sale every week, no one ever returned my call. Finally managed to speak to someone to be told the buyer pulled out 3 weeks ago and they didn't bother to tell me, when i questioned this the solicitor told me that's my problem and hung up on me. unbelievably rude and unhelpful. Do not use them under any circumstances.

Bought my flat 7 years ago and used Williamsons as the solicitor, quoted approx. £600 but in the end I was charged almost double that. Now I am selling my flat and have questions regarding some things, they don't want to know. Diane ignores emails and does not respond to telephone calls. Receptionist told me they have thrown my file away due to it being over 7 years old - do they not keep things on their computers!? Would not use again. Unhelpful and expensive.

We just moved house and used Williamsons and Douglas for both our onward purchase and the sale of our current house. They were very reasonably priced and great to work with, during the pandemic, most of the communication was done over the phone and we always got a friendly update when we called. I'd recommend them to friends and family and would certainly use them again if we moved in the future. Diane and Alan, thank you so much for all your help!

They are either incompetent or thieves as 2 was after we completed they still haven’t paid the redemption on the mortgage. Had to chase them all the way. Useless, never use them again
