A very nice environment for mature postgraduate students. The flats are very well equipped with all the appliances that are needed for your daily life and the buildings are very well maintained.

I love my accommodation. It’s close to university, close to stores and medical practices. The accommodation is also very clean, neat and has quiet hours which is great for a post graduate student. Maintenance is very quick to repair any damages. My room is on the upper floor which means I get a lot of direct sunlight and it’s just lovely. It is also diverse in residence which is great, I made some new friends. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We have an entertainment area as well as a little gym so your mental and physical health remains important.

I have lived at St Marks Residence for about four years. This accommodation is a new complex, which features many facilities including: washing machines and dryers in each flat, TV in the kitchen, plenty of storage space in the bedrooms, ensuites, as well as a pavilion used for entertainment. Initially when I moved in I really enjoyed living there, however, as the months and years passed there were some major issues that had arisen. Noise was a big problem with this accommodation. This is despite this accommodation specialising in postgraduates. There are major issues with banging, stomping, slamming doors and windows. Talking with other residents, this seems to be common amongst other issues. The building is poorly insulated for noise of which causes many issues with neighbours. Another issues is the warden. The warden is quite difficult to get in contact with when an issue arises. Unfortunately I lived directly below the warden and he was very noisy. My neighbours also suffered from his frequent banging. When I managed to talk to him, he blamed the building and told me to shut up, and said that he was the warden and therefore he doesn’t make noise. The university and Student Union did not help me with this issue. Notwithstanding this, the maintenance and administrative staff at this accommodation were helpful and kind although they do not deal with social issues. Additionally, the cost for this accommodation is good as it includes: bills, internet, TV licence for the kitchen, limited gym access, washing machine and dryer, post collection and basic content insurance.

I have been living here since September 2017 (almost 1 year), and I am really amazed with the way that everything is available, very responsive and helpful stuff (night porters, wardens and sub-wardens). The rooms are super, being ensuite, with shared wide kitchen full of all utilities. That was more than what I have expected. I LOVE ST MARK'S <3

I used to stay here during my postgraduate study. The staffs were very friendly and helpful, I remember Tyler. The roommates were nice and we used to cook cakes together and share. Quiet and safe.

It's a really nice accommodation. Near to the university of Leeds, it has a well maintained pool table, foosball, laundry in every flat and great security. Crowd is quite mixed, it's for post graduates only accommodation.

Good facilities, but if your priority is your degree and you have the misfortune of bad neighbours, you're on your own - all supposed advantages of university-owned and managed accommodation listed in the contract are practically void when it comes to St Marks. No one (subwardens, Warden, management) does their job to take effective action against regular excessive noise, large parties (even during exam season) or even purposeful damage of personal property by other occupants, despite regulations existing on paper. Management does not even bother to reply to formal complaints - even from more than one occupant regarding the same problem. Avoid if you are looking for a place to study and rest without being regularly disturbed during your postgraduate degree, especially if you are a PhD student. Even though this is a postgraduate-only accommodation, most occupants are doing one-year Masters degrees and the atmosphere is akin to undergraduate accommodation.

Homely vibe (it's like Gokuldham society). But too much drama for Indian students.
