Little Snack Bar 小食堂

This is such a gem of a place in Sheffield for Taiwanese food and bubble tea! I stopped by today to try their bento, street food and bubble tea; I had high hopes for all of it and I certainly wasn't disappointed!We started off with the braised pork belly bento, I had a hard time choosing which bento to go for but I couldn't resist the pork belly and I'm so glad I went for it. The pork belly had a really great depth of flavour and perfectly cooked without too much of the fat. The bento came with cabbage and (I believe) pickled cucumber and honestly I was surprised by how much I liked the pickled cucumber! It brought a brighter and tarter flavour to the saltiness of the pork so I'm really glad it was in there.Next I tried the Spice and Salt Garlic Chicken from the Street Food menu and this was definitely the star of the show! The chicken was so so crispy, the crunch when I bit in was amazing but the meat was so juicy and full of flavour! The green beans were a great addition and you get such a generous portion of chicken that I definitely didn't leave hungry. I'd 100% come back just for the chicken again and again.Finally I got a caramel milk tea which I went for with 50% sugar and it was just the right amount of sweet and creamy to offset the saltiness of the food. It didn't have any of the graininess that milk tea can have sometimes if not properly mixed and I could have probably drunk a whole gallon of that caramel milk tea today! I'd love to come back and try all of their bubble tea menu because honestly, picking a bubble tea flavour was the hardest part!All in all a great little spot to go for some yummy food and top notch bubble tea!

If you're looking for an authentic Taiwanese food experience, this is the place.Most people probably stop by for the drinks but be sure to try their food, too.

9/5/22Update.Yep still as good as ever and if anything...even busier than before...Noticed they are opening another branch up next to many Mart off London road as well.Just realised I haven't written a review. I try to come here whenever I'm in Sheffield. The menu is basic but the drinks pack a punch. This place does the best drinks outside Asia.They are full of flavour and not watered down and they are not pumped with ice. The prices are also very good.I love the taro in particular it has a great fragrance to it.Today I tried the one of mango sago series... The sound of cheese float didn't appeal to me , I asked if they could make it without and they said yes. The slight sourness of the strawberry mixed in brought in a refreshing taste.Original mango sago was the best.Highly recommend... Be patient as it got busy when I got there and there are only two staff...Overall 10/10

It was fantastic. I think this is the best Taiwanese restaurant in the UK.

Little Snack Bar is a restaurant worth visiting if you’re in Sheffield. Taiwanese restaurants are a rare find in the area! I would recommend the beef noodles. There are many drinks to choose from as well! Had a lovely meal:)

Had pork chop rice, not bad but not quite 5 stars. I would like to try turkey rice but decided against it as I was told that is served cold - which is not my experience in my grandparents home town in Chiayi.
