This company has very arrogant staff on the phone. They're chasing debt owed by the previous owner. I've called them on multiple occasions to let them know I'm a new owner and the recipient of the debt letter doesn't live here and they insist on me providing my council tax number to them for the letters to stop. Even an idiot could go online and see that house has been sold but clearly that is too difficult a task for them. I'm not giving my confidential information over the phone and they will continue to come to my property and send threatening letters. Absolutely rotten company and incompetent staff.

This company is beyond disgusting. It doesn’t even fit to be operated as a company. Got sent meesages saying I owed some debt which states no amount or origin. Was sent threatening messages similar to what was reviewed here. Called up twice and spoke to a guy called Matthew. Asked for the breakdown of the debt and he can’t give me. Instead, he kept asking, “are you paying now?” Such money hungry ghosts.For goodness sake, I’ve to know what I’m paying and the amount or if this is a scam?? Collecting your debt is one thing. Being logical, sensible and morally responsible is another.

Disgusting companyNo reasoningI had called this shoddy company on 22nd of November to tell them I am still in dispute over the pcn with bexley council. Was told by this so called company and that bexleyheath council must contact themAfter completing those tasks I received a message saying the fine is double and hat they are comingOut at 6am tomorrow morningSo after contacting them again and telling themThere must be a mistake as I have challenged the pcn with an ombudsman and bexleyheath council should have been in touch with themThey have no recognition and are forcing myself to pay the money before it’s raised yet againWas told I am Under a legislation about parking within the parking bay and then given the statement about covid masks and treat it was legislated that you have to wear a maskA legislation is a guidance not a lawIt is not compulsory to follow a legislation’s instructionsTake this company to ombudsman service like I have done and they are highly aware of this company’s nature and will be enforcing action soonIf a bailiff comes to your door simply state“ Please cease and desist all calls and contact with me immediately.“

Very unprofessional service, spoken to a couple customer support people after receiving a text threatening enforcement agents, no letters received or anything until this, additionally they had not got our current business address down, which we have had for over 5 years, therefore we could not even find out what this was in relation to. Clem on the phone was dismissive and rude, just like the previous members of their customer service. Unable to track down if this debt is even actually real or in relation to us, very unhelpful, you would imagine they would want to better their reputation from 1 star

This has to worse experience I’ve ever had. I’ve never seen a more unprofessional company in my life. Everything happened in a span of a day and was demanded to either pay the money or they would come to my house and remove whatever they liked. Very scary situation. The last 12hrs have been very very unpleasant!

Paid instalment last month as planned, stuck to the payment plan as agreed. Go to leave my house today and my car has been clamped with stickers all over it. So embarrassing and unprofessional when I have paid as agreed. Not happy at all! No one knocked on my house door to say this would be happening, if you had communicated with me first then you would know I have paid, I could’ve given you the reference number and none of this would’ve happened.

It would be 0 stars if possible.Harassment and predatory are the only words I can use to describe this company. My mother in law was wrongfully charged a fine that Equita took charge of. After caving in she paid the debt EVEN THOUGH she was not at fault because she was afraid of bailiffs coming to her door.After providing plenty of documentation and following ALL of the steps she was told to do, the council repaid her. Equita however still push her for the money that was paid months ago. Letters in the post, text messages. Disgusting practices praying on vulnerable INNOCENT people. Several calls to them to be told she wont hear from them again, all lies, still now 3 months on after settlement they try to get more money from her. Vile place.

No one likes the bailiffs. but these guys were helpful and polite.just doing what they have to do.my main issue was with Birmingham city council ... they need to make serious changes NOW! took them 2 years after several emails and letters STILL couldn`t rectify the name misspelling and billing address.Put a monkey on a desk and I'm sure it`ll do a better job.going to give you a 4 only cause you took my money. lol

Does not deserve a 1! This is the worst company I’ve ever had to deal with, so unprofessional and they all are power hungry. They go by what they want to do individually rather than as a company.Had a bailiff come to my door from debt I owed to city council from clean air zones, he clamped my car and asked for payment. He said to give him a payment of whatever amount it was and then he can sort a payment plan with me off £100 per month and he will take some money of the debt if I were to pay the amount he wanted there and then. I did and then all of sudden equita said they don’t know why he said this and they can’t take money off, and then wouldn’t do a payment plan of that amount per month. I then tried to do another amount in which they stated they couldn’t set up a payment plan unless I paid nearly £500, I paid half of it and said I could pay the rest the week after and she said no you have 2 days to pay this in which I can’t and now she stated my account was breached and now I can’t make a payment plan. Very rude and threatening. Made several complaints and nothing come out of it.I will be getting a solicitor

Keep messaging, phoning and threatening me. Told them to stop coming round or the dogs will scared and then it can't be stopped what will happen. But one good thing is I live in a fully furnished house supplied by landlord so only thing they could actually take is maybe a pair of socks if they lucky. I'm also a planet citizen so don't see any government legit and will never pay council tax
