Lovely garden centre with cute little café

Absolute zero customer service from the staff at Oxford Garden Centre today. Arrived at 3.25pm to have a coffee and had to practically wrestle a couple of seat cushions off the member of staff, who was trying to clear up early, just so we could sit outside on their patio. Was then told.very rudely that the cafe and patio were shutting at 4, despite the garden centre being open to 5 , so no reason why we couldn't stay sat outside as we cleared all crockery back to them by 4. Was then made to feel very unwelcome by a guy who insisted on cleaning around us before eventually telling us move out of the patio area as it was closed. Appalling and won't be back.

It's OK as a garden centre, but I have given just two stars because, unless you have visited before: it is almost impossible to find! A TomTom or Google Maps (I used both) will direct you to the adjacent ring-road, from which it is not at all clear how to reach the entrance. My friend and I wasted half an hour driving around until we eventually realised that you have to take a slip-road signposted to a golf club (with no mention of the garden centre). And if you miss the turning, you'll have to drive for miles before you can turn around. Their website has a Find Us" section that is utterly unhelpful. Pathetic."

Very happy with our purchase, it was nice to find the products local and at a lower price than the leading online retailer with fast next day delivery. Let's hope the birds find us soon.

Visited today for breakfast which was absolutely lovely. Very good value for money and the coffee is great. Beautiful relaxing patio and we also brought our dog who loved the treats.

Can't rate this little garden centre highly enough. I am a non driver living in bicester. I also have an anxiety disorder. It is really hard for me to get out and get things. I only ordered 2 bags of soil and 2 little pots of rooting powder. The garden centre staff drove it all the way to my flat for free, and Bicester is some distance from Oxford. I couldnt believe they didn't even charge. On top of that I live on the 4th floor of a block of flats and the lovely friendly young lad who delivered knocked right on my door having carried the two massive bags of soil up 3 flights of stairs. They delivered within 2 days of ordering as well. Much better than some huge companies. Absolutely remarkable. Will use from now on. Thank you so much Oxford Garden Centre I couldnt have got these items myself on foot and I don't have money for taxis. Xxxx

Always love the Oxford Garden Centre! Great selection of plans and garden related bits and bobs! Got ourselves a bird feeding station this time round and hoping to see what feathered visitors we get!

Enjoyed both cafe and plants and came home with what I was looking for. We also made use of the aquatics place for buying fish and pond plants.
