Marko's Barbers

Went there yesterday when it was quiet and I was the only customer in the shop. So I expected to get treated with at least a little bit of respect. As soon as I walked up to the barbers I saw the lead guy outside obviously waiting for customers or passing the time whatever. I expected he would welcome me and let me take my seat. Instead I walked in awkwardly as he didn’t show any intention to cut my hair and instead his colleague appeared out of no where reluctantly as the guy outside had obviously given him the eye to say ‘you do it’ ‘I don’t wanna do it’. I accepted and went along with it. Then it quickly became apparent that this guy cutting my hair was learning as the other came to watch maybe to supervise. Now I understand that he is learning and he gave me a haircut. But it wasn’t a good haircut. I’m sure he can cut hair good and will be a good barber, but he obviously didn’t want to cut my hair and didn’t put much effort it into it, not really doing what I had asked. For example I asked for a fade and he didn’t even change clippers or attempt a fade. My head was aggressively pulled back for most of the time he was cutting the top which was actually painful. It didn’t take him much time and was rushing it. Generally it’s not a good haircut and I look silly. I shouldn’t have even paid. My biggest issue wasn’t actually the guy who cut my hair but the guy who couldn’t be asked to cut my hair in the first place who pretended to supervise, then sat on his phone for the rest of it while shaping up the zig zags on his own hair. For me that’s just a lack of respect. If I’m coming in to pay you money to cut my hair you do it properly and don’t leave me wondering what’s going on. Even worse, now I have a haircut I’m not happy with which I shouldn’t have paid for.

Been coming here for the last three years and don`t look back. Personally the best barber in Wallington. Friendly and polite, also they don`t rush with your hair like other barbers they make sure you are happy with the haircut. The location is really good as well few minutes walk away from Wallington high street. The shop is always very clean and the staff are professional.

Normally a very positive experiance at marco’s And I would normally return without hesitation. However on my most recent visit the barber who was new Was incredibly hasty and slap dash and was quite rude. Leaving my hair looking like I’d asked my mate to do it blindfolded with a kitchen knife after 16 pints. Hopefully standards are better next time I return to get this mess sorted if not I will have to go elsewhere.

Great hair and bears trim, not expensive at all, man who worked on me was friendly and asked all the right questions, basically could not ask for more. Will be back!

Great barbers! I've used them for a little while now and it has always been a pleasure. Good, fair priced haircuts and beard trims. Very friendly staff too. I also respect that they have a ramp (two, technically for both sides of the door) ready for those that need it - not all businesses in the area can say the same.

The Owner is a top top barber!! He has been my own personal barber for hair and beard since this Establishment opened for business. Awesome for young to old men with a wide variety of specifics to be of service by the professional staff here. I recommend Marko's to all my male friends and even ppl who ask me where I got my haircut too. Get yourself down there for a friendly face and welcoming.
