NW MOTOR TRADE LTD

Not sure where to start on this. Firstly I have never experienced a service like this ever from any business.I purchased a VW transporter from NI motor trade 2 months back. I was travelling from Ireland and trading in my Ford transit custom which was in mint condition. As I’m a very honest person I realised my transit custom required brake pads and discs in the near future so I went and got all those replaced 2 days before travelling to wales and had my van fully checked by my mechanic so that everything was ok for NW motor trade. So after booking the ferry the owner Nick I think his name was, was trying hold off the sale for some reason and changing dates etc. alarm bells where starting to ring but I already had a deposit paid and the ferry booked so I had to go ahead. After picking up the transporter from NI motor trade all seemed fine and well, however 1 hour into my return journey home lights started coming on the dash, as blue, service (van was supposed to be serviced) abs light, traction light, and low water light. I was told be a few mechanics the van was in pretty bad shape mechanically, it required a service and the oil and filters weren’t changed in quite some time. The auto gearbox is jamming in and out of gears, I had been told a gearbox service would resolve the matter, which it didn’t. I’m now been told it’s a costly fix and some sort of module issue that the garage would have been well aware of but still sold me the van. I spent £700 of my own money to date and the van is still the same more less. I have now just found out the head gasket is gone on the van which was the low water issue. NW motor trade is refusing to cover any of the issues or costs as they are saying the van I traded in was in bad condition which it 100% wasn’t. Even if it was, why would the garage take the van as a trade in if it was in such bad condition. My solicitor has told me the garage is 100% liable and cannot use the trade in van as an excuse as a contract of sale they have taken the van as a trade in and it’s up to NI motor trade to stand over the van with their so called 3 month warranty. I also had to torture the garage for weeks on end for the receipt of sale which should have came with the van. When I asked for that at the garage they said it would be emailed which it wasn’t. The mechanic also said the bodykit and spray job on the van was very poor. There drill holes was holes all over the dash where electrical appliances where ripped out along with bare wires causing fuses to blow where someone ripped out the reversing camera. I have also had to change the tyres that was fitted to the van as they where so dangerous in the wet and the tyre depot said they are the worst tyres ever to put on a vehicle and very dangerous. There was other things like the van I purchased been removed for sale and re-listed at a higher price as they knew I was interested. They tried to say it was a different van when the images where identical to the images I had saved from the first listing and the van even had the exact same miles. There is a lot going on with this business that is pretty scary and shouldn’t be allowed. I will be contact trading standards and sending an email to rip off Britain to see if they want to investigate this garage. In my opinion they are crooking genuine paying customers out of pocket and buyers should be aware. Very aware. I don’t like leaving reviews like this but when the seller is refusing to stand over the vehicle I think other buyers should be aware.

Really pleased with our VW campervan we bought from NW earlier this year. We feel we had great value for our money, generous delivery offer to our home address and good after sales service when a couple of things needed doing in the warranty period in our local garage which NW settled in a timely way. Proud owners of a nice vehicle supplied by NW motors.

We bought our first camper van 2 months ago from Nick who is a pleasure and friendly man to deal with, we had a few issues once we got the van home which Nick had sorted out in no time looking forward to trips away in her Thanks Nick Shaun & AliJust to add we were away on holiday a short while after purchase and nick went above and beyond to source a local garage for a repair for a problem that occurred to our van many thanks

I bought a van from nick last October, I didn’t view the van in person due to distance, but I dealt with nick through WhatsApp. I paid in full and had the van delivered, and it was as described, in great condition and delivered when promised.I would deal with nick again, as I had a positive deal with no hassle.

Just bought a camper from Nick and are well pleased. He gave us loads of advice and support through the process and we felt that he was passionate about the service he gives.

Although initially concerned about the deposit amount required it is now clear as to why having witnessed the conception to birth of my Campervan. Nick has been thoroughly open and honest throughout and has created a van that will I am sure provide many new adventures going forward.I have recommended Nick to family and friends as all have commented on how great the van looks.

Buyer beware.I bought a van from this guy, had an engine malfunction on my drive back to North Scotland which I reported within 24 hours.He's denied me a repair insisting I return at my own expense or take legal action, a total disregard for my rights.In my experience his warranty is completely at his discretion so don't buy if you're looking for peace of mind.To top it off, the body kit he put on has come loose and the tyres fitted with the wheels he sold are so unsuitable, they would fail an MOT and void my insurance.

Hi we bought a Ford Transit LWB camper from Nick in April last year. New conversion and have since had pop top fitted by Nick’s recommended garage. Had a small problem with windscreen washer motor just after buying, Nick said take to our local garage and sorted straight away, the van is a show stopper and couldn’t be happier with the buy, looking forward to the summer and touring France, thanks Nick, Paul and Shelley

I bought a Ford transit from Nick last month, can't fault the service, went above and beyond from start to finish, even arranged for my private plates to be fitted prior to delivery.I went down to NWMT prior to buying a van just to have a look at the standard, there was no need to bother, I went on the Friday and placed my order on the Monday. Build of the vehicle and delivery was fantastic, made up with my purchase.
