The Yellow Door Day Nursery

I'm updating my review as my little boy has now been at yellow door for two years. In that time he has progressed from the baby room and has just started pre school. Yellow door is fantastic. In spite of the pandemic, my little boy has progressed in every area of development and is positively thriving. This is largely due to their progressive child led approach. Every week he is so excited to go to yellow door and runs in with barely a goodbye. On his return, he is brimming with excitement about what he has discovered that day and the fun he has had with his friends. My little one has an excellent relationship with all staff in the nursery from his key workers to the managers. I love the way that all staff make a massive effort to get to know the children, even if they might not work in that child's room. From a parental perspective, yellow door have been extremely flexible and supportive with regards to naps, potty training and continuity from home. As parents my husband and I always feel listened to. Finally I'm so impressed with the food. He eats better than us! J. Manning

We cannot fault The Yellow Door and have recommended to all our friends looking for nurseries in the area.Our 1yo boy started recently and he’s flourishing - the girls & Chris are fantastic, you can really see they are passionate about what they do. Edit: would like to call out all of the girls in the Buttercups room for being so caring. Ange who always greets us with a smile and Michele!As an anxious first time mum I did a lot of research on nurseries in the area. The Yellow Door felt like a home from home and had such a great vibe that I just hadn’t got elsewhere.I particularly love that there’s an app for updates throughout the day - you can see what your little one has been getting up to (baby yoga, singing, messy play, mealtimes - I could go on).Really impressed overall and if ever there’s another babe on the horizon for us, The Yellow Door will absolutely be our choice of nursery again, without a doubt.

We couldn't have picked a better nursery for our son. He absolutely LOVES going to The Yellow Door and has come on leaps and bounds since starting. Thee children are always kept busy and engaged, always doing something different. The staff are amazing and you can tell they really care about what they do and love to see the children develop. We get regular updates and pictures through the app. They are very eco conscious, which was one reason we picked them as well as recommendations and their teaching style. The Nursery has a lovely homely feel. If we could give 10 stars we would. Highly highly recommend!

From the minute I walked in this nursery before it had even opened, I got such warm feeling. Michele the owner is a lovely lady who always has a smile on her face.The staff are amazing, each and everyone of them. Chris & Paige looked after my daughter and she loved them, she was always happy when I took her and picked her up. My little girl loved it here, its sad to see her leave. Just want to say another big thank you to each and everyone of you! X

My 2 year old son started at the Yellow Door Nursery at the start of September and he is totally settled in there now thanks to the amazing staff there.There are great daily activities with lots of messy and outdoor play which he loved and you receive updates throughout the day and lots of pictures so that we can see what he’s been up to.The nursery has a lovely feel to it, it’s brand new with lots of traditional as well as modern toys and the menu is fantastic with lots of varied options and updates stating that Tommy has often had 2 plates.It was a big transition after lockdown and being at home for 6 months but the team at Yellow Door made it really smooth with lots of support and cuddles when needed.

I am so pleased I chose this unique nursery for my daughter. She loves her days here, even when she is a bit apprehensive to leave me the ladies are so lovely and quick to update the baby's days app with pictures of all the interesting things she is getting up to, which puts my mind at ease.The nursery has such a lovely feel to it, different to other nurseries in the area. The updates you receive on the app throughout the day are reassuring which are then backed up by the big smile on my daughters face when I pick her up and the stories she has to tell me about her day. The singing, painting and puddings after lunch are some of her favourite things.I would definitely recommend the Yellow Door nursery, Michele and her Team!

I can't recommend this nursery enough! Our son has been attending for over a year and just loves his time there. Michele and the whole team are wonderfully caring and provide so many fun activities. The team are constantly sharing information via the app so we definitely feel in the loop about what he gets up to. As a speech and language therapist I really like that the team encourage the children to communicate in whatever way they can and that that there is lots of opportunities for them to make choices however small. My only wish is that they offered a takeaway service for their meals as I often get food envy!

Our little girl has attended the Yellow Door for over a year now.Every day she is excited and happy to attend and thrives. We have a good relationship with all staff who are always happy to help and communicate clearly.Activities to suit every day including lots of messy play which we love.I have older children who have attended other nurseries in the area and can honestly say The Yellow Door by far shines above the rest.

Looking for a nursery for your child is one of the most stressful and worrying times, especially if your child like ours has a medical condition. OI is basically brittle bone disease, so nursey setting had to be right. After visiting a few nurseries we had almost given up hope, then The yellow door came up and it was the best decision to send our son here.It's like home from home, staff are informative and nursery settings are natural and beautiful.Risk assessments took place and support offered was amazing, he has grown in confidence and development.So happy we made the right choice .
