St Richard's Hospice

I said some silly things to try get my mom in here. But we got there. What a wonderful place with the most amazing people. My mom Jean passed away peacefully on 24/03/19 thank you to all staff and volunteers for doing such a fantastic job. Truly experts in caringThankyou

When Mom became terminally ill, and the GP suggested that she spent the rest of her time in St Richards Hospital, I had my doubts, but she needed the specialist end of life care package, that we could no longer could provide. So reluctantly, I agreed, with everyone else, and it turned out to be the best decision we could have made for her. The staff were excellent, the care, amazing, the building, great, and it's set in the most beautiful grounds, too. It made her end time,, and the inevitable passing, certainly that bit more special, and I wouldn't hesitate, in agreeing, the next time, anyone asks me the same question, as St Richards is the most remarkable place, and we'll forever be in their debt.

A fantastic place, run by wonderful and very caring people. Not really the kind of place you'd ever want to recommend, but performing a wonderful service for those that need it.

Fabulous hospice and fabulous staff (and volunteers) , who gave my Mum Eve and our family the very best of care when we all needed it the most. Forever grateful to you all xxx

An extraordinary resource for end of life care, funded mainly by local donations. Many volunteers assist the excellent medical professionals who staff the in-patient unit and also provide support in the community.

My late husband passed here on 6/01/23 . Fantastic staff , they give so much care to the patients and families.

Absolutely amazing staff who looked after my brother and also looked after the family. Could not have asked for a better place for my brother to have his final days. We had a Xmas party and they supported us In making it the best day for him. So thankful to all of the staff.

Lovely staff who are happy to help in any way possible. Very modern and stylish rooms for your loved ones. Bistro with facilties for family as well as patients. Access to garden area from every room with view to pond and giraffes from stand tall fundraiser. Equipment to bath patients, my great nan hadn't been able to shower for over two years and enjoyed having her first bath in years being bed bound she usually only had bed baths.
