Staff are very nice and friendly. Really nice Sunday roast. Best Yorkshire pudding I’ve ever had in a pub. Only down side was, to our taste, cauliflower needed more cooking. Having said that there was plenty of everything else.

Really nice pub, love the history of the place, beautiful surroundings. Part of a lovely typical English village, stunning views of Selsley and the Stroud valley. Nice outdoor seating area, friendly staff. Good facilities, ample parking. An all round nice place to stop for a daytime drink while soaking up the beautiful picturesque Cotswold surroundings.

A pub that has struggled but, since changing hands has made great strides forward. A good selection of food and drinks. Welcoming and friendly staff. Also a good place to stay the night. The rooms are modern and light, very well furnished.

Loud music was very audible in the room until about 3am. It was far beyond the normal level you'd expect above a pub, and went on much longer. If you're looking for a night out, or don't plan to go to sleep until sunrise, then this place is fine. But it doesn't serve its purpose as a hotel for anyone wanting to keep normal hours. The staff and locals were really friendly, but we left a day earlier than planned because we didn't want another night of partying.

Traditional village pub with a good selection of drinks and food at great prices. There is a large car park which is great when using the overnight accomodation, also pool table area, skittle alley and outdoor seating area at the frontage of the pub. The staff and locals were friendly when we visited and feels a decent place overall.

You get what you pay for with this budget B&B accommodation. It's a pub with its rooms above the bar. Be prepared for noise. We've stayed in pub accommodation before so we were not naive as to what to expect... but not to the extent of volume we had. Admittedly it was a Friday and Saturday but we were not informed by Booking.com or the pub that there was going to be a party with DJ sound equipment/speakers etc. It was LOUD. I suggest you check in advance before reserving a night.Aside from that, there were a few other issues (but I'll spare you details), so I can only give 2 stars. Positives were location, easy parking, and a basic level of B&B for a reasonable price.

Staff on duty this evening were very helpful with our enquiry about booking a stay in the future. It was a shame that the kitchen is closed at the moment as we were looking forward to sampling meals of the menu. We will return again when the kitchen is up and running.

Dreadful experience, room was dirty ,electric sockets not working and not secure in the wall. Bathroom extractor fan so noisy you wouldn't want to use the light in the night. Told on arrival that the chef had left so we would have to make our own breakfast. When we asked to change rooms we were advised the alternative room was over the bar and there would be Karaoke that evening and it would be very noisy until after 1am!!!Decided to cut our losses and walked out went to near by Travel Lodge which was excellent. This place should not be open for business, requires a refit and new management

Stopped here for a evening meal as in area and just looked for nearby pubsHad the bacon cheeseburger which was amazing. Really tasty and moist patty and a decent slice of bacon. Light crispy onion rings. Perfectly cooked chips. Even the coleslaw was full of taste. Will definitely visit again next time in the area.

Okay, so it is not 5-star accommodation, and it is not pretending to be. It was perfectly adequate for us, and I was very reasonably priced. Maybe it was a little bit tired in places but it's an old building and we had just come out of a lock down and there might not have been the money to do everything the owners wanted to do with it, but that certainly didn't spoil our stay. We were made very welcome by the owners and of course it is a pub as well, so you don't have to go very far for a drink. The breakfast was a self serve continental style with a great choice. Everything is kept in a fridge so just go in and help yourself when ready. Cereals, yogurts tea and coffee. There is also a large toaster for you to use. There is a big car park on site and we had no problems parking. The owners let us park all day after we left while we did the next bit of the walk, which was good of them. It is perfectly placed if you're doing the Cotswolds way. I wouldn't have any problems staying here again or recommending it.
