Excellent range of ales and I think lagers and ciders too. Beers change daily. Delightful friendly locals. Good live music. Funky seating. Micropub - so cosy. Dog friendly and human friendly. Highly recommend a visit...or two...or more!

Really good pub. We went in just after opening around 1pm and there were people already in, so this tells you how good a place is. Went back later in the day around 5pm, it was busy but was made to feel welcome and seats were offered. Good choice of ales and other drinks. Great atmosphere. Clearly a pub with its regulars who are very welcoming. The only place in Stratford where you'll get real ales that change constantly so you'll never be disappointed.

What can I say about this place! A great atmosphere, with such a lovely and friendly owner! Also, the people who are hanging out (which perhaps are the owner's friends) were like my friends! Thank you for the great time. Hope to see you again, soon!

The Stratford Alehouse
We enjoyed a warm welcome and friendly atmosphere on our first (so far) visit here. It's a small establishment but has a good selection of ales and some wine, etc, for the non-ale drinkers. The decor is eclectic, giving it a characterful charm that underpins the aim of its existence but also adds to the whole atmosphere that encourages conversation among regulars and newcomers alike. Definitely recommended even if we had to wait until 3pm for it to open!

Enjoyed a lovely couple of pints here with my husband yesterday. Always a great atmosphere and such friendly patrons - on more than one occasion we've found ourselves deep in interesting conversation with complete strangers! Love the selection and the 'no frills' feel to the place - good honest service at a very reasonable price. Already looking forward to our next visit!

Was wondering round Stratford looking for a good pub, feeling uninspired with Fullers and Greene King signs dominating the area. Stumbled across this place and knew it was going to be good - no nonsense, beer oriented ambience and vibe and heaving with merry locals early Friday evening. Beer was well kept and well priced.

Wonderful micro pub. Very useful location both for walking into town and, if using the train, on the way to the station. Very friendly staff and great atmosphere. Good selection of drinks and reasonable prices. Much recommended

Good range of beers. Limited seating. Always someone interesting to chat to. Opening hours don't always suit me.
