Dublin Passport Office

Don't know what way they operate. Myself and my partner sent our forms in the same day. Same garda signed our forms. Received notification on the same day on the tracker. My partners passport arrived in exactly 2 weeks. Mine is still processing and stuck on verifying documents for 2 weeks now. Makes no sense. Waiting to book our holiday and can't.

We applied for a renewal for my son online. It was a really simple process (lots of help even with taking a home photo). We applied on the Monday and the new passport arrived on Saturday to the U.K. Absolutely fantastic service.

Lying scumbags. Declined my daughter's valid application because the date has been edited" on a form. Zero accountability and zero way to speak to anyone other than the moron on the phone who could just repeat "you need to send us a new form"."

Don't rely on any information on their online tracking in regards to verifying your supporting documents. Their system said they were verifying them for 1 month and 3 days as the progress bar steadily moved along until, 33 days after they received my witness form, I received am email to say they couldn't contact my witness and to resubmit the form again. I had sent my UK passport as proof of ID so I rang the passport office to get it back as I needed it to travel. Spoke to a very obtuse man who wasn't happy when I pointed out how misleading their online tracker is in stating that they are verifying documents when in fact they haven't even started. He was adamant their tracker has no mention of verification and when I pointed out that I had the tracking screen with We have received your supporting documents. We are now verifying these documents." he hung up on me. Beyond incompetent."

Fantastic service for renewing a passport when abroad!I called their offices to make sure I was eligible to renew with 4 months left on my old passport. Spoke a lovely lady called Valerie, she went above and beyond to answer all my questions and make sure I had everything I needed to get a new passport out to me before Christmas.After that, I just used the web portal, hit submit and tracked my new passport until it arrived. All in all, it took about two weeks to get my new passport out to Canada.

Booking an appointment online was smooth for us, but an elderly lady seeking advice and a renewal form had a terrible experience. Unfortunately, the staff was unable to assist her in obtaining a simple form from the shelf, highlighting a lack of training in this basic task. They offered no help apart from asking her to go to the next window.

Renewed passport online. Pharmacy took my photo and was accepted by the form, made sure I had all my details the same as previous passport. Applied on a bank holiday Monday and received it that Wednesday. Fantastic speedy service!

Renewing my passport on line. Local pharmacy took my photo than sent me a code. I went on to the passport website. Logged in my photo code. The photo was excepted I followed the instructions. The process was very easy and very quick . Aployed on Tuesday and got my passport on Thursday of the same week. Excellent service.

K FOX of the complaints office dreamed up a new reason for my cancelled application. The real reason was that they did not get to a resubmission in 6 weeks... so the system cancelled it - they previously without informing me had sent important docs, 2 original birth certs to the WRONG address in the wrong country - now they are MISSING!! The Irish passport office is ZERO stars, they are now harassing ME for THEIR lack of competence and their lack of flexibility to my life situation, which sadly has extenuating circumstances. The sad commentary" is that Ireland was the greatest most rational country I ever resided in. They understood reason and could make cogent decisions... that is now gone

I would give 0 stars if I could. I have spoken to 6 different people in this office, and only one (David) was of any help. One person hung up on me, and the attitude of the other staff was shocking - lacking any sort of empathy, compassion, or care to assist another human. Even on the chat, they just log off without asking if you need anything else, or if they answered your question.My passport is currently stuck in NY customs and the US Postal Service can't look into it until the sender (Dublin Passport Office) starts an inquiry. Dublin's policy is they don't look into it until 10 weeks have passed - with that being the case, I won't get home for Christmas. No matter who I speak to or explain the situation to, they literally just say we can't
