Waves Hand Car Wash Shoreham-by-sea

Took my car for a clean. Told it would be 45 minutes. I returned as instructed to find they hadn't even started it. They just said, 'Sorry love,' and handed back my keys. No explanation. Would give zero stars if possible.

I visited this car wash recently and decided not to use it. A foreign gentleman wearing a “manager” T-shirt was so unfriendly and abrupt I took my custom elsewhere. Also he quoted £16 just to clean the outside of my car ! Most expensive car wash in the area! I only have a little hatchback too.

Shocking cleaning. I asked for the interior rear cab of my van to be cleaned as well as door shuts and exterior. They just blasted the inside with a pressure washer and shifted all the muck from the back in to the front.Vehicle was not wiped dry afterwards so was left smeared and pools of mucky water were left inside the side door as well as water spray on the seats, dashboard and elsewhere.Awful. Cannot recommend.

Had our, admittedly oldish car cleaned here on the Gold Service. The result was rather rushed with some parts of the car obviously untouched. The result really wasn’t worth the money. To be fair, when I complained, a couple of guys were sent to rub the car over. However, the manager/owner expressed the opinion that he did not care whether one returned or not. This I think, says it all. I run a service company, all our clients are important to us, repeat customers and referrals really make the success of a business. This car wash business obviously thinks he has a big enough customer base not to care that much. Not to be recommended unfortunately given the location. If you care for your vehicle and value for money, go elsewhere.

Amazing job for a good price! Cleaned my car inside-out and was spotless. They even managed to get off this sticky residue my learner plates left on the front of my car, I tired everything and I couldn’t get rid of it, but they managed to :) Definitely recommend.

Rude, scamming cowboys. The dog had got some mud on the trim inside so I asked which clean would be best. Looked in the car, telling me how dirty it was (who takes a clean car to the car wash???) and then made up a price on the spot that was far higher and didn’t correspond to anything on their price board. When I queried, he said they add surcharges. Absolute cowboys and no way I would ever give them my money. Wasted my time and were seriously rude about it.

2 bad experiences now, with car cleaning rushed and not done properly. The first time, I actually went back and pointed out where there was still mud in the footwells and the boot had not even been opened.I went there today, specifically mentioned that I would like the boot hoovered. I did not check until I got home, then realised the boot had not been touched. The glass roof was also left smeary so I had to wipe that clean myself. My car is always pretty clean anyway, so no excuse for this. Will not be going back there again.

Left my car to be cleaned in and out. Come back to chipped and cracked screen where they knocked my dash cam with such force part of the glass still on the camera fixing plate. Best bit was that 4hrs of video footage suddenly disappeared when I tried to view the footage.No call, no response or apology. Had to claim on my insurance.Never again.
