I think the one down the round near the bus station is better and it’s only a 5 minute walk

Introduced my nephew to pie barm here. We ate ours out of a tray round the back near that giant head statue.

Witnessed staff effectively drop 2 eggs into a deep pan of cold oil to try to deep fry eggs for a bin lid."2 of the scabiest bits of bacon were used

Wouldn't accept a Sottish bank note - unbelievable.

Don't even think about asking them to make you a sandwich in here....asked for a turkey Mayo roll and the assistant spat that they had no mayo left. She was fuming when I said I'd have just turkey...tried selling me the ones I'd already checked in the display. She begrudgingly stomped off to the back and I was charged 3.80 for one piece of turkey on a roll. Not sure what goes on in this place but the staff clearly hate their lives and their customers I've never seen one crack a smile yet. And don't advertise we can make you your sandwich when they've never got what you need after 1pm ..they clearly can't be bothered unpacking the stuff. Poor service.

The butter and onion pies are superb, with the texture of the mashed potato and onion mixture being spot on inside the pastry, as well as being a good portion size for £2; also, if one Galloways store doesn't have what you want, they'll happily call up another store round the corner to ask if that has it in stock!

Galloways Bakers have been making and selling pies, pasties, confectionary, breakfasts and sandwiches since the early 1970's, according to their web site. The bakery makes sandwiches on site daily according to standard" fare

Absolutely awful. Galloways used to be Thee bakers. Now, massively over priced! Not only that, advertises shuts at 1600 on Sunday. I went in at 14:10 - 4 sausage rolls, and 2 pies left in a crate cold. Absolutely awful customer service. The woman was disgusted I had asked why there was nothing else available with two hours before close. It’s the last time galloways sees any of my money.
