We visited this site during a period of very heavy rain, so couldn't really appreciate the views, but on a sunny, clear day they must be stunning.Very peaceful and quiet. You need to take your own bottled drinking water with you, as they no longer sell it on site (water is filtered from a burn on site, but is a little discoloured ) and the midges were really bad despite the rain !Sheep wandering round freely on site.

Location, location, location. This compact site has a million dollar view. The road there is single track for a few miles, but in good condition with plenty of passing points and no problem with our 8 meter motorhome. Stony ground, so steel pegs recommended for awnings etc. Walks along the very quiet road alongside the Loch are level and provide good views across the Loch. There's a footpath across the road leading through the ruined village of Grunmore and into the hills. Great place to paddle board from the site, or fish. Arrive early after 1pm to get the better on site locations. As advertised, bring your own water. A good reminder about the importance of water conservation first hand.

Fantastic but basic club site. The views across the loch are amazing, we had only been here a couple of hours when my wife witnessed a golden eagle chase down a young deer on the far bank of the loch. Bring plenty of drinking water as the site is stream fed and although treated the water quality cannot be guaranteed to drinking standard. This site is more than worth the effort of getting here.

A great location in the heart of N. Scotland on the edge of a loch. Lovely views and walks on hand. No water or facilities but these take 2nd place to the beauty of seeing the area. Warm and welcoming warden as well.

Great for peace and quiet. Good dog walking but must be kept on a lead. Lots of livestock around.

Love it here. Quiet and peaceful. You awake to the sheep cutting the grass for you. The Wardens pick up all the droppings. You are right on the Loch and it is not too cold! No showers or toilets but that is fine. You may want to bring water purification tablets or bottled water. They treat the water from the burn but a tablet is advised. Wardens are very friendly and helpful. Single track coming in with lots of passing places.
