The Prince & Princess Of Wales Hospice Shop

Apparently they don't like donations in here...yet I thought it was a charity shop...donations need to be taken to and processed at their central business...oooohhhhkkkaayyy.The older guy who used to work in here was pleasant and friendly and appreciative of all donations. The younger guy who was in here several months ago when we last went in, was rude, unhelpful, miserable and aggressive.We've given loads of items in here over the last couple of years, including brand new clothing, brand new coffee percolators, as well as brand new boxed, vintage items - we could have sold these on eBay, but would rather help towards a worthy cause. Since the rude staff member spoke to us so impolitely, we have taken our donations elsewhere. It's heartbreaking, as we want to give to this charity, as all hospices are so deserving, but when they employ someone who's a complete 'See You Next Tuesday', people don't go back.In fact he was that rude, the missus even phoned to complain to him and he was STILL rude, aggressive and had to have the last word. No apology was forthcoming and no empathy/understanding shown.Hopefully the shop kicks him out, has an overhaul and brings back the friendly older guy (sorry, can't remember his name). We're not asking for the world, just some common courtesy and manners. Obviously too much to ask/expect of some people.

Brilliant wee shop with lots of unique and quirky items, been in a few times recently and every time the shop has something new! The staff are brilliant aswell, very accomodating and easy to get along with :) will definitely be back soon
