BS9 lofts and extensions

The team at Build BS9 are exemplary. We had our initial meeting with them just over a year ago and, following a large number of initial meetings with other companies in the local area, we were incredibly impressed. They were able to take our vision and the architectural design and, given their experience and understanding of similar projects, were able to talk us through areas that needed rethinking. We took a number of their suggestions on board and this has paid dividends now that we are near completion.They compiled a prompt and professional quote that was extremely competitive and fair with no hidden costs as I have heard other builders like to implement to boost their profit margins.We sat down and discussed the art of the possible whilst running through all potentially issues that may crop up over the course of the build. Thankfully not many of those issues have been raised which saved us time overall and the issues that were realised already had a plan to remedy them so we were all prepared in advance.We made the decision to source parts of the build separately such as the windows and doors, tiles and kitchen fitting, in hindsight this was a huge mistake on our part and, given the option again, we would enable the Build BS9 team to manage all aspects in future.They were able to work around the shortfalls of other suppliers with grace and professionalism so I am extremely grateful to the team for their collaborative mindset.Now that the build project is coming to an end, we are extremely pleased with the end result and will miss the team as they were fun to have around the house.

The Build BS9 team removed an old conservatory for us and replaced it with a single-story extension. They also re-modelled the ground floor by removing a load-bearing wall to create a new large kitchen diner, using plans drawn up by our own architect. We were very impressed by the quality of the work. Alex and Dean kept to the budget as promised and were a pleasure to work with. We adore our new space and recommend them highly as they were personally committed to ensuring that we got something that we were very happy with.

Had a side return extension built, chimney stack removed and knock through of existing walls to create an open plan kitchen dinner. Dean did a great job, letting me know when decisions were needed, he planned the work to meet our needs (wfh and kitchen for as long as possible), but was flexible enough to change the schedule to accommodate our changing requirements (party wall award changes and our decision to fit floor before installing kitchen). Of all the builders we had quite, his was one of the clearest and most comprehensive, while also very competitive. Would highly recommend and will use again, should we have any work done in the future.

Alex built our extension last year and we are very happy with the final product. Alex was punctual and took a great deal of care with the build, including our particular requirements with window alignment and setting out. We got on very well and he maintained high standards and cleaniness throughout. For most of the initial build stages Alex was working alone, during the blistering heat, due to being let down by labourers, but he has now sourced a great group of lads that have the same level of care and customer service. We were especially grateful to have a polite and conciencious builder - our neighbours were very complimentary with the low noise levels and their friendly demeanor.We would absolutely recommend and use for future projects!

Dean and Alex did a single storey extension on our Victorian terrace. Were great to have on the job throughout - knowledgeable, trustworthy, good value and on time - would thoroughly recommend.

The job had its complexities which Alex and Dean took in their stride. The work was carried out on budget. Every member of the team that we had on site was a pleasure to have around.

Build BS9 are a fantastic company and team of builders. They built my extension and put an entire new roof on my property. All work has been completed to a very high standard and we are delighted with how the house is looking now. Both Alex and Dean are really top guys and nothing is too much bother for them. They are also very polite to the neighbours which hugely helps when building a big extension. I highly recommend Build BS9 for any building job.

We had a loft conversion completed by Bs9 lofts. The disruption was very minimal and they dealt with building control and structural engineers when needed. The workmanship was faultless and I would certainly recommend them to anyone.
