Can't fault this place really! The staff are always very welcoming and the food is fantastic!! The sausage rolls are absolutely banging!! Would 100% recommend!

I've spent a lot of time thinking about writing this review, just a bit more than 24 hours. Yesterday, on August 23, 2023, I went to the bakery. While waiting in line, a lady came out and asked who was next. When I spoke to her, she ignored me and asked the person behind me if he was next. He got angry and pointed to me, clarifying that I was next. I was really angry inside and almost caused a scene.Was this just a simple mistake on her part? No, it wasn't. She was clearly treating me differently because of my race (I'm black). Even when she took my order, I could sense her hostility. I paid and left. I now understand why the tea I've ordered on previous occasions was often lukewarm.My review doesn't label everyone at the bakery the same way. There are some friendly people working there. The food is good, though pricey, and sometimes the muffins are stale. It's frustrating that they start closing down at 2:30 pm even though they're supposed to close at 4 pm. Will I shop there again? Probably if I'm really craving a balti pie.

Excellent sandwiches, highly recommended and Pistol Pete lives a couple of doors away.

Simply the best. I go here regularly with my two sons who both have allergies, one has an epipen and we struggle to find places that take it seriously. Every time I have been in they have excelled in customer service and being helpful often without me asking for the allergy book they automatically get it out for me to check. The younger members of staff over the weekend are an absolute asset to the business and I can’t describe how much my boys enjoy going in and choosing their treat. The more mature ladies throughout the week always greet us with a huge smile and often have a nice chat with my boys (they are only 3&4) this has helped build their confidence in ordering their own treats and they always entertain them paying with their own money and wait so patiently. Thank you for making our visits stress free xxx

Excellent bakery selling great bread and other cake products

Charge you extra if you want a loaf sliced,and most of the staff have come out the Ark and should be in a care home,dribbling and passing wind without a care in the world,I'd give this one a miss!

I recently moved in down the road from this bakery, and I have to say I absolutely love it! It’s amazing living so close to an old school bakery. There’s not as many left anymore! I always get fresh bread and their cheese straws, a cheeky doughnut here and there too. Amazing!
