The Good Hood
Absolutely love this place. Had the signature burger and it hit the spot in all the right places. Cajun fries were spot on too. Best part was definitely the hostess. I immediately commented to my date that the hostess was so happy and smiley. It was so refreshing! The food being good was the icing on the cake but the service was a full 5+stars.I never tip, but I did today.

The good hood is a great place to eat, especially as they have a decent vegan menu to offer. The decor is quirky, there's always great music on and the staff are really helpful. It's mainly burgers, loaded fries, nachos etc. Really tasty stuff!There's plenty of inside seating but there's also outside seating where there are parasols for shade/rain.The bathrooms are small (1x male bathroom and 1x female bathroom) but immaculately clean.Definitely worth a visit if you're in New Brighton or surrounding areas!

Recently came for a staff night out. Was highly upset with food standards and drinks standards (very expensive, not cheap). Pizza was greasy, cheese could have been melted more, had the artisan fries which werent even fries properly (basically a third of a french fry for size). Terrible being charged for a pot of sauce (same size pot as what mcdonalds have for their sauces). Hugely disappointed with the milkshake for £4.50 for what was just some milk and icecream but was mainly froth- menu states it comes with cupcakes, frosting, cream and sprinkles which none of it was provided. Half of food was provided first meaning those who had chips to go with the burger or pizza had eaten it before chips had arrived.Only thing good with the place was the music. Only one person serving on the night (did everything herself), staff could have been alot more friendly (as how you would expect by introducing themselves and making their being a feeling of being welcomed.At this moment of time i dont feel i will be returning until feedback is taken on.

The good hood is a vibe, fun street design, nice music and friendly staff. The food and cocktails were lush, I recommend the burgers, chips and nachos that were delicious. The cocktail I can’t get enough of was the basic b, very refreshing just what’s needed on a hot evening. There’s plenty of outdoor seating which we chose that is under cover and comfortable with cushions. Even though when we arrived there was not much food options left due to a busy summer day earlier, the staff made sure to accommodate what we fancied.Highly recommend this place if you want comfort food and some nice cocktails. I will be coming back definitely to use my 2 for 1 cocktail voucher

Went to the Good Hood as a party of 2 and we were not disappointed. Arrived at about 6 o’clock and were seated immediately by friendly waiting staff. Service throughout the night was overall great.The vibe of the place was also fantastic with a great layout, good music and captivating decor. (The photos don’t quite do it justice!)Food was gorgeous, I got the Giving it a Bash burger which was amazing. She got the Challoumi burger and that stole the show (best chicken burger we had ever tried). The sides were a good size and sharing a fries and a mac and cheese filled us up.The drinks were also great fun with interesting designs and the bar staff were a good laugh and professional.In conclusion it’s now 6 hours on and i’m still filled up. Not much more to say other than congratulations Good Hood, will sure be returning soon and made up that such a humble local business didn’t let us down!

Excellent quality food that tastes incredible.We ordered a signature burger, Cajun fries, halloumi fries and the chicken strips.Every dish was delicious, as were the cocktails.A member of our party is famously fussy and said she couldn't fault a single thing.

This place always has a great atmosphere, particularly when it is warm enough to sit outside on the terrace.We ate here for the first time, as we usually only go here for drinks. Eating at 3pm on Monday, it was bound to be quiet and we were the only ones there.Our food arrived with great, friendly service after less than 20 minutes of ordering. I ordered the Pure Joy chicken burger (£9.75) with Artisan Cajun Fries (£3.65). The burger was good, although maybe slightly overcooked as the crispiness was close to being burnt in places. The fries weren't cooked enough and not crispy at all. Plus, the amount of fries given were quite measly in comparison to the large chicken burger.The decor and music make the venue great to eat when inside as much as drinking and eating outside in the summer.A great addition to the cool, independent vibe of the Victoria Quarter, Victoria Rd, New Brighton.

Chanced this place as was passing by and we needed lunch. Wow, have to say that was the tastiest burger I've ever had. The spices n flavours were amazing and I'll definitely be coming by here regular.It's dog friendly too so was great to be able to take the puppy along
