Staff really polite and helpful throughout.The place is beautiful and the food was lovely. My husband was more than satisfied with his chicken escalope.If you haven’t yet you have to try the lemon meringue pie gorgeous dessert with a nice twist.

Full English breakfast was great (and I have a big appetite) more than filled me up. Family member had pancakes which were also lovely. Great service from Gareth who was very attentive and funny. Will be back for sure

I've been here before in 2021 and I had great service and food.This time round the starters and mains were absolutely delicious, though it was an hour's wait for our main. We had a 2 hour max seating and after arriving at 5.45pm, we finally left at 9pm. Longest dinner service ever.We should've stopped after our mains in all honesty, because that's where it rapidly went downhill. Our desserts weren't as described. An apple pie with a brandy custard arrived cold and with ice cream instead (I asked, and apparently it's served cold here). A crème brulé was ordered and a cheesecake arrived instead. We tried a red velvet cake as a replacement dessert and it was stodgy at the bottom and had no flavour. I really don't know what went wrong with the desserts.Service was horrible. We were seated quickly and our first waiter got the drinks done quickly. After that, we were basically ignored by serving staff to the point where we had to call out for their attention because making eye contact wasn't enough of a sign. Go here to reset your expectations when dining out.The tables around us were experiencing a similarly bad experience and I spied other couples waving down the manager to complain about waiting so long for drinks and food. It was a universally bad experience for everyone that night.Don't recommend coming here if you have plans for the rest of the evening or are expecting a tasty dessert.

Very disappointing meal. The place was empty at 8pm on a Friday night - no atmosphere. It was freezing inside everyone at the tables were wearing coats. Our food took forever to come despite it being empty. All our food was cold, lukewarm at best (half our table were salads so there weren’t many hot meals to get out at the same time). My friend is vegan and when I asked what she could have as there was nothing on the main menu they said “the side salad!”Won’t be going back!

The food was delicious for me, personally. That's my only positive comment.One of our group had his steak over done (supposed to be medium rare, came up WELL done. It shook the table when he tried to cut it!). He was told a new one would be out for him in a few minutes and the waitress took the who plate away, sides and all. 20 minutes later, after everyone else had finished, the waitress brought back a plate with one nicely cooked plate, and nothing else. No chips, salad, just the steak. With everyone else finished, the person didn't really want to eat on his own, especially not a bit of meat on its own! When we complained, the waitress was not helpful, saying they wouldn't take the steak off and gave him a free coke (!).The person next to him received the wrong order main and dessert. It would be fine but the waitress was outwardly frustrated and it tainted the dining experience.In general, it was slow, but we expect that from Mimosa having been there a few times, we know it's going to be slow. An hour to get drinks and starters, given we'd pre-ordered, was a bit much.My review would not be so negative if someone, at any point, had said I'm really sorry about that". Not once was there an apology about the long waits

Can't fault the food. It was excellent. Service staff were great. The only thing that was a huge let down was the hour and twenty minute wait between the starter and main course.

We had a lovely brunch at Mimosa. From the minute we walked in we were made to feel welcome. Our waiter Gareth was fabulous - friendly, funny and attentive but not too much so. The food was good and a lovely atmosphere. Great for a girls catch-up, we will be back! P.S. It was a bit chilly in the restaurant, but the weather was freezing outside that day!

Interesting menu of we quite unusual meals, nicely cooked and with very good quality ingredients. Striking decor - black, glass and chrome predominantly. Where else would you find a huge gold dinosaur as a conversation piece.

Lovely breakfast . Quiet and shady outside.Lovely staffThe only downside is the pre added service charge that we didn't notice!!
