UPDATE: 13/11/19 - I almost lost my life the day before yesterday, thanks to the childish and unprofessional conduct of this lot! - Having been left with NO ACCESS to a GP and NO ACCESS to the drugs I need to maintain my Asthma, for around a year, the inevitable near-fatal collapse occurred!!DANGEROUS, PUTTING PATIENTS AT RISK, WHOLLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND JUST NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE!!! AN AFFRONT TO THE VERY CONCEPT OF THE NHS!!! As a chronic Asthmatic (Brittle Asthma) I am left completely without access to an NHS GP or prescriptions thanks to these incompetents. GP services in the Lothians seem to be tacitly 'privatised' , profit-centred, unprofessional and happy to bully patients (in the most infantile way) who stand up to them!The board themselves aren't interested and fail/refuse to direct enquiries along proper channels... GP services aren't much more help! Although they'll 'assign' you to a GP; you might well find they 'don't want you' and pull stunts to defeat the assignment - at which point GP services give up and leave you high and dry! - Even raising issues with the Health Minister at Holyrood produces no cogent - let alone helpful - response...Complain? They just 'close ranks' - no point in going to the Public Service Ombudsman either, as they exist only to 'rubber stamp' such behaviour - if it were otherwise, why else would these rogues feel so free to act this way? - they're out of control; and they face no accountability nor sanction!I haven't been able to access my regular preventative medications since the end of last year! - And have to BUY Ventolin (essential emergency/lifesaver) from PRIVATE pharmacies in England! - The only way I'll be able to access medical hep is if I collapse and am lucky enough to make it to A&E!!!!...A shameful and dangerous mess which is ANYTHING BUT 'patient centered'!

Institutionally racist and unfit for general purpose and stuck in the dark ages when compared to the strand across the border. Propped up by left leaning politicians who rely on such organisations to sustain their pay packet like the right do with the big players of commerce.

NHS Scotland seem to do everything in their power to abscond from handling complaints and dealing with service user concerns. I've just been down to Morrison Street to get my Covid injection and the lack of social distancing from the security guards and even worse the nurses is appalling. Even in the triage Unit there were nurses unmasked near the patients. The nurse who gave me my injection went out of her way to be surly and started handling my belongings without invitation to do so. When I asked if it was safe because of Covid she started looking for a fight rather then be reassuring. Really nasty and it seems that staff don't believe the rules apply to them because of their position. Might be just about barrable if the NHS was succeeding rather then failing in the battle against Covid. But they are not. I've been told to complain to Lothian , but have rung more times then I care to continue and t the phone keeps ringing. Any thing to do with service user access they make into a maze of obstruction. They know that offshore compaines like GR will also hide a lot of bad reviews about their conduct so can afford to ignore the systems short fallings. If this was a coffee cafe I could have raised my concerns a lot quicker and got my points through. Its a disgrace this is a publicly funded service yet behaves in a all powerful self governing way regardless of results. No wonder covid is out of control when you have an organisation like this be its own judge and performer. I was even told to go to another town for my injection. However only by enquiry did I find out that I could go local. Did not receive a letter or even a text no wonder people are missing out on their appointment. No thanks to Lothian NHS board.

Tried to claim back my expenses, NHS refused stating l earn too much when l don't even earn over £7000 a year. Made an appeal, NHS decreased the amount of benefit from the 1st original entitlement, probably due to my appeal and complaint. Never got a single penny back when l should have got every penny back. Disgraceful service from mentally retarded people who are sitting on the public purse. And need reminding who they serve, the public. The mafia take better care of people than the NHS do.

Took 2 minutes to pick up the phone of non stop ringing and once they did pick up were unnecessarily rude before passing me off to another number which went straight to voicemail.

A brilliant place to work

If you want to be ignored and wait years for your referral and possibly die cause it’s too late come to NHS Lothian. The waiting list is horrendous and you won’t know if your discharged or referred.
