Lovely stained glass door but terrible customer service and company mentality. I expected more for the price tag of the door.Our door was delayed by months and no one in the company took the care to call us. The delay was also only due to them not checking if we had received their voicemail which we hadn't. No follow up call.When the door was fitted there was a problem with the letterbox and it took 2 months of back and forth to get the fitter to complete it but it wasn't so we had to complete the job.From the start to finish they informed us about painting the edge of the door once fitted. We happily painted it. When I contacted them saying the door had cracks they finally informed me of the yearly paint job was coming up. I told them I had never been told this.This is not the first time I have had a new front door fitted but this will be only and last time I use this company. Such a shame because on the day of fitting the door looked so lovely.

* hate leaving a poor review but have exhausted trying to resolve with the shop and need to warn others.Just had my new door fitted. I first enquired in May and it took until October to have the door fitted so be prepared for a wait.It is made clear there is painting to finish on the door after installation, but the extent was not what I was expected. I called the CDC and asked their painter for a quote to finish the job as I am 9 months pregnant and won’t get round to it. They quoted £500 to finish it. I then called my own decorator who said he could do it for considerably less. When I asked CDC’s painter if I could do this myself he made it clear it was a job for a professional and not an amateur painter and that my door isn’t under warranty until it’s done.The fitter damaged my home and doorframe. I’ve got chips in the paintwork and marks on the wall. When I told CDC they said it was for me to chase the fitter (third party) and didn’t want to know.I sent a really reasonable email to them saying I wasn’t thrilled with the mess, damage to my home and requested copies of my invoices. I have not had any customer service or even an apology, I feel they are arguing back and are deflecting blame. No solution has been offered and I haven’t had an apology.So whilst the door looks nice I have a significant amount of repair, cost outstanding and have spent the weekend cleaning up after the fitter. I’ve had to find a decorator urgently so that my door is under warranty and CDC have made no attempt to resolve any of these issues and have advised I contact their third party for resolution despite my contract being with them. I don’t even have the fitters contact details so unsure where I go from here.Not impressed with the after service at all and feel they have taken my money and left me with a lot of stress and no attempt to resolve.

I had 8 doors supplied and fitted, the doors look nice and the staff took time to discuss our requirements,the copy of the invoice obtained with all prices including fitting, which is paid to the fitter on completion.The doors were delivered on time and the fitter came on time.The fitting of 2 of the doors I was not happy with ie they did not stay where they were put, I asked the fitter if they could be adjusted, his response was that the property had dropped and the frames were out so he could not help me.After he had left I noticed that the architrave (on the new door frame he had fitted) was not fitted and also those two doors do not stay. I contacted the shop as they are the people I took the contract with they said I must contact the fitter, it seemed to me that the fitter was unwilling to make adjustments, so although I amhappy with the doors, the finishing I am not.Mr King

Perfect door for us and at a competitive price. Great advice in the showroom and the staff were very clear about what is and is not included in the price and the fitting process. The door was ready before the stated lead in time of six weeks and there was great communication throughout and in my numerous follow up questions. There was a genuine interest in whether their service was good. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend (and already have to those who have knocked at the door asking where we got it from) and will use the company again.

Excellent service and selection. Ordered a couple times from here, they even went above and beyond contacting manufacturings when we wanted something more bespoke and customised a price.

We highly recommend the Classic Door Company.We had our hearts set on a traditional looking door that would compliment the style of our house.The team at the Classic door company were brilliant from our first meeting, they came up with ideas and really understood the look we were going for.We were hit by the dreaded covid delay but Caron kept me informed of when the door would be ready.We were shown several drawings of the door before it was manufactured and even invited to see the frame to make sure we still wanted that colour.The fitting was very straightforward and everyone we met was polite and a pleasure to meet.We love our new door so a big Thank you to everyone at The Classic Door Company.

It was expected that the customer had to complete the job by painting the edges. The rim of the glass panel had holes where (presumably the beading for the led lines were fixed) have remained exposed and indeed is single glazed. The price paid (£740 including the fitting thereof), as a comparative to other suppliers i have investigated, was top heavy. They, in this example, appeared to have exploited the vulnerability of a frail and aged couple (my parents) and relied on the technicality of the Terms and Conditions of Sale as their defence. Their attitude when challenged was aggressive and i believe they have no moral compass. As such i would advise caution if you intend to do business with this company. UPDATE: Now had to employ a painter to complete the edges (actually had to smooth them first), repair the beading holes and paint over plus make good and paint the door frames. Thanks a lot Classic Doors!!

Really faultless customer service. From helping me to choose my door, to the fitter - everyone I dealt with was exemplary. There was a lot to choose from with bespoke options available. I am so happy with my door. The Classic Door Company really is 10/10
