Devon Railway Centre

A really nice day out. Our train mad son had a blast riding the different railways. The models in the train coaches were great and the interactivity (pushing the buttons to make the trains move) kept us amused for ages.The soft play was also fun and the staff were really friendly.

We visited May half term. My two children are aged 5 and 7 and both enjoyed the experience. We were there for 2-3 hours. We purchased a family ticket c£43. We brought a packed lunch as I was unsure of the food situation but actually their food looked pretty good and reasonably priced, I took a photo of their menu to help you plan/decide. Lots of seating everywhere. Soft play was decent, looked fairly new and 3x levels. There's two ride on trains: miniature one that goes round a gnome village (which were in good condition, clean, freshly painted) which is a bit of lighthearted fun, and a narrow gauge train that does a loop around the site. A lot of time and heart has gone into creating and running this centre. Lots of model railways to admire, play toys in some of the coaches great for preschoolers, mini golf, and a model village. There are other rides dotted about that require coins to pay, we didn't do any of those.

They open the car park gates bang on opening time which means you loose some time in the centre.A cracking day out and lots for the children to do! There are many things to keep you occupied when the rain pours. Covered buggy parks too. The playgrounds are suitable for all plus you have free access to some crazy golf. The green is a little uneven but adds to the thrill of the craziness.We purchased some hot drinks from the cafe. The hot chocolate is super super sweet, the latte and cappuccino are horrendous my parents could drink them after having a new one made. This needs looking into.Downsides;-having to pay for some of the attractions when you are inside when they are very short in duration. Just another money making scheme!!

My son is train mad, and wants to come here every year. Plenty to keep children entertained for a few hours, and reasonably priced too.

Visited today with my husband and 4yr old son to break up a long drive home to West Sussex. We arrived around lunch time and parked for free no problems.Surprisingly it was lovely and quiet! My son adored and was in ore of the model railway inside the carriages! It was fab and we spent a long time watching the trains.We spent the entire afternoon exploring and playing. Loved the gnomes!! Cafe was inexpensive but bog standard no frills food. Toilets clean and staff welcoming!We had a lovely day here and we all really enjoyed it. Not too big and exhausting to get around and is pitched for under 7s. My son also enjoyed the soft play, train and sand pit.

Absolutely brilliant visit a couple of weeks ago! My partner and I took our nephew and he loved it. It was so reasonably priced and all well maintained. This will definitely be somewhere we visit time and time again! So many wonderful things to do, food was pretty good as well!

This is a brilliant place to visit with kids. There is so much to do that the kids will not be bored. Almost everything is included in the entrance ticket which makes it a great value for money.

Great place for kids. My toddler wanted to stay all day and didn't get remotely bored. Staff were all wonderful. Would highly recommend!
