Erwlon Caravan & Camping Park

This is undoubtedly one of the best camping locations we have stayed in. It is well maintained, and the bathrooms are very clean. They have an iron and ironing board for use. They have a full-size refridge for campers use. The wardens were very helpful and inviting. It's an easy walk to town. We will be back, and we highly recommend it.

Can't fault the site or wardens / owners. Lovely welcome. Facilities clean and warm. Pitches are not huge but well maintained. Fantastic dark skies. Very quiet, despite being close to a road. Superb location for exploring the area. Dog walk a bit muddy but not too bad for the time of year.

First stay in a pod, was lovely. Pods well equipped with everything you would need, clean and comfortable. Situated right next to the river, so relaxing. Definitely would use again.

This is one of the best campgrounds we have stayed in. It is very well maintained, and the bathrooms/showers were very clean. It is quiet and there is a short walk to town. The warden and her husband were very pleasant and accommodating. We will return and we highly recommend.

We had an impromptu overnight stop on the way back from our holiday here, after another site was unavailable, and I’m so glad it was! What a gem. A beautiful site with great amenities, wonderfully clean and tidy throughout and even though the weather wasn’t kind, we walked into town and enjoyed a beer and a bit of history.I can’t wait to come back for a proper visit and a longer weekend trip. The warden was the most welcoming and interesting lady and she runs a friendly site.

We've just returned after an impromptu weekend away at Erwlon and felt obliged to write a glowing review as we had such a wonderful time.It was our first time ever camping as a family - two children under the age of 7, and two dogs (one a great dane!). We felt quite apprehensive if I'm honest but it was simply marvellous!The site is beautiful; it's immaculately clean (the toilet block was spotless), relatively small but very well laid out with clearly marked pitches and plenty of space round us, with level, well-maintained pitches (with a hard-standing area for those that need it, plus an adults-only area for those who wish to holiday away from younger families).There's also a small but very well maintained children's play area, a kitchen are for preparing food and washing dishes, a fridge-freezer for guests to use, a book and dvd library and a small stream running behind the campsite and that's about it - but it was perfect.Located just 5 minutes' walk (a real 5 minutes!) from the centre of Llandovery (itself lovely and full of eating options - both takeaway and eat in - plus a large co-op), it was truly the best of both worlds - well connected to the outside world but feeling very quiet and peaceful on the site.We found our fellow guests to be incredibly friendly and it seems so family and dog friendly that we quickly felt entirely at ease - there was no sense of having to tiptoe around the place or cause for alarm if the dog woofed! The fenced-in dog run was simply brilliant!!Finally, the two wardens who run the place were just lovely and we can't say a bad word about them.We've retuned home and the children are already asking when they can go back next and I'm sure, if the dogs could talk, they'd be saying the same!My only sadness is that I think we've possibly been quite spoilt on our first family camping trip and I suspect very much that this has set a standard that other campsites may struggle to match!!Thank you for a lovely weekend and we hope to see you again soon!
