I absolutely love this record shop! I've signed up for the monthly £40 mystery box when they originally opened and I've loved opening the box when it arrives each month and discovering what has been sent. I can also specify an album I like which I've seen on Jame`s frequent Facebook and Insta updates. He is amazing and does a great job each month of finding a couple of records that fit right into my collection. Highly recommended!

Well what can I say about Slab Records. James is the opposite of the stereotypical grumpy and unhelpful record shop owner, always smiling, always playing good tunes in a shop filled with brilliant, well priced records. If that’s not enough his happy for you to have a blast before you buy so your not regretting your decision when you get home. Not that that’s ever happened. Great shop.

Always an amazing experience dealing with Slab Records. James takes an interest in your taste and preferences, and is more than happy to help you find your next favourite LP or to have a chat while you flick through his super collection. The records are always in great condition (the option is there to spin a record in the store before you buy, which is excellent), and he is constantly getting in new stock, meaning that a return visit is always fruitful. The engagement with vinyl lovers on social media is a huge plus also, with regular flick-throughs of new stock so you can ask him to pop something you like to one side for your next visit, as well as general vinyl care info. Highly recommend.

A wonderful shop with a great choice of records and the team couldn't be more helpful. Really appreciated the personal service, James made some great recommendations and I really enjoyed browsing through the racks. The online service worked really well too, I received my records quickly and in great condition. My new record store!

Whilst I haven't had the pleasure of visiting the shop yet, I have been happily buying vinyl online from SLAB for months. Priced very reasonably, always in condition as per descriptions (if not better) and usually with a bonus record or two thrown in, James is doing a superb job of making me spend my hard earned cash on some excellent tunes! I can't wait for the opportunity to travel up to the shop one day, whether or not my bank balance will thank me is another matter! If you collect records, please do check out his online shop as there is something for all budgets and tastes!

I can’t say enough good things about Slab Records. James is everything you could want from a record shop owner, he lives and breaths music and I doubt there is a band out there he doesn’t know about.Shopping is a breeze, James is there to offer any advice or point you in the right direction but also gives you space and time to browse to your heart’s content.James will absolutely go above and beyond for his Customers, he takes time to get to know you, he cares so much that your happy with your choices and if he hasn’t got something in stock he will move mountains to get it for you.We are so lucky to have this amazing record shop on our doorstep and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to purchase or sell records.

Can not say a bad thing about my entire experience here. The owner is amazing! Super friendly, knowledgeable and makes you feel welcome in the shop.Vinyl is all graded meticulously and reasonably priced. No ridiculously overpriced records here.To top it all off, the owner recognised me a few weeks later at a record fair and stopped to say hello! Great shop with a lovely owner!
